I could make out an 18v on the blower so im guessing he's in europe
-
What part of the world are you from roasty. Have nightmares about this happening myself.
-
Does any one know if this compressor will become available in europe
-
This is a debate i see alot but dont fully understand so i stay out of it
-
Yes they do on site. I stay away from sitework though so i stick with 240v tools it just means if i ever do get offered site work they wont allow my tools in the gate
-
No 240 from the wall so we have to plug in a transformer that ways somewhere around 10kg. And then plug our 110v tools direct to the transformer. A lot of bigger sites would have 110v power sources so rather than having to bring the transformer on them it normally means running 110v leads all over the place. A lot of guys in the private sector dont bother with 110v as health and safety rarely check on them and when they do its normally by appointment so you can be prepared
-
Ireland and the UK is different. 110v is required on site. Its a pain, means lugging around a heavy transformer all the time
-
Im not too sure what you mean by 240v power station. Do you mean the one that takes 4 batteries? If so not available in europe along with the stud drill as far as i can see
-
In europe it comes at an extra cost of about €150.

Dewalt Flexvolt SDS MAX Rotary Drill DCH481 - oztooltalk review
Turner85 replied to dwain's topic in Power Tools
Looks like a powerful machine Dwain, something i need to add to my arsenal and i think ur video just persuaded me. Being wanting to get into the flexvolt platform also -
Would buying dewalt shirts then just having ur company name put on them be considered copyright. Ive been thinking of having mine put on some carhartt shirts i purchased
-
Nows a great time aswell with the exchange rates
-
My combi is the dewalt dcd795, have it close to 3 years. Never let me down yet although im thinking of upgrading to its big brother for drilling out locks in solid doors. My reason for going with dewalt was brooks building providers are registered repair centre. So i can drop them off and pick up without having to worry about postage etc.
-
Welcome aboard and have you not considered dewalt. Although i dont own the latest models myself they are getting great reviews here and elsewhere. Secondly look to the UK and save yourself a fortune. Only time i have bought on home soil is my mitresaw amd tablesaw just because of shipping charges

Broke my two fuel gauges on my 5ah's. Well this was at least what i thought was the reason for them stopping
-
Do these new packout boxes have the option to put on racking similar to the toughsystem, Huge plus in my books. I have never locked my toughboxes together just the radio to my ds400
-
Was using it today. Not sliding on me but only took the lightest of taps to get it to drop. Did u oil yours or anything?
-
Never took notice cause it wasnt a problem. Ill check next time im using it.
-
I dont have this issue either. Same saw European model
-
U sound like the American version of me
-
I know ur a festool guy chris. Was a hard choice between the two, but here in Ireland an extra €100 got me the mafell with an extra blade.

I mean if u keep a strong hand on your saw u should be able to prevent kickback, well thats me speaking from experience because i always just cut up my sheet material on sawhorses. And id constantly get the saw wanting to come back at me from the material either sagging in the centre. Anyway i stepped my game up since. I just ordered the mafell mt55 and im gonna throw together some kind of portable bench for breaking down sheets because this saw will be getting treated with love not like my makita
-
I currently own the makita, no real issues with it. Ive just let it get a bit beat up. So im currently in the market to replace it, im looking at the mafell, price gap between that and festool isnt much over here in Ireland. Main reason is the tracks. Ive never really being impressed with the way of joining on makita etc but if your willing to buy the 3m and can easily store/transport then makita and festool are great aswell. All have some features the others dont, so basically look at them and see whats more suited to you.

That one is actually available at this time but ive still to invest in the flexvolt range. With some tools running out of warranty i might sell them off and upgrade though. Thanks for the review
