Have you seen the prices! they jumped from €556 to €660 $741 for in circular saw. Crazy
About €580 in the UK for the kits. Thats just with the grinder, circular or reciprocating saw with 2 batteries and charger

Welcome,
I've already start throwing money aside from weekend work and selling off some old bits to fund some flexvolt. Wont be going for the table and mitre saw myself as I've always access to power and already have the dws780. I am actually in the market for a tablesaw, pity that's not ac powered like the mitersaw. The reciprocating saw is top of my list as of now.

Anyway when u see the price you will say no thanks to his offer. I'm seeing pre orders of €250+ on bare tool for recip and grinder. €500+ for kits

Interesting proposition, like I said price dependent...but I'm down if reasonable. West Palm isn't that far.
Would a U.S repair centre touch a European model though. Kind of the reason I never try purchase from America or Canada. Warranty doesn't carry over.

Be great to start seeing them so soon after they are revealed. Other tools take close to a year to hit the shelves

There are two little latches that lock behind the knuckle on the bracket. Wonder is it a difference between Europe and United States version

Yes, but it doesn't lock on. Guys with trailers (me) and vans will find it on the floor more often than the rack.
That's strange. Mine locks on, I've 2 in my van that have never come off the brackets

The only thing that bothers me is that they've produced a few items that don't lock onto the rack, so the system isn't really mobile in mind unless you use the cart, which was an oversight IMO. The radio doesn't lock as well as the clear lid multi-compartment organizer...the two things I really want. I'd do like 5 of the organizers and one radio if it did.
I have the radio just sitting on a ds300 on my rack. Works perfect but creates a problem as in you have to remove to get into your tool box

Although it's known the 9ah would be coming down the pipeline sometime in the future, I ran across a popular mechanics article that had pictures of it which I hadn't either seen or spotted before.
Appears to be only slightly taller, pretty impressive given it has 50% more spunk. Thought the color differences were interesting, easy to spot...but what catches my eye is that there appears to be a raised portion over the 0AH portion of 9.0AH, as though it's a sticker or something. I find that quite odd since they're otherwise identical. Ideas?
Good spot. I see what u are saying, it's like the 0ah is a separate sticker.

You can say that again Im guessing €500 minimum for some of the new stuff. We always get shafted in Ireland.
Sure the bluetooth batteries were around the €200 mark aswell. So these flexvolt will be more than that
-
The thing you have to consider $199 for only 4ah on a 60v tool.
Is it not 2ah at 60v?

I'm scared to even think of the cost in europe. I'm guessing close to double them dollar prices. Dcf887 is €190 bare tool at the moment
-
I have mine a while but I'm in Ireland. I really like the convenience of it. One thing I've realised is, if the shoot starts clogging with woodchips it's one of the early signs to change battery even if u feel it's still performing to full power.

I wondered the same thing. I'm no marine biologist, but I think that 6ah at 20v(18) only be like 2ah at 60v(54). The grinder claims 13amp power. I hope that's not draw because that would result in less than ten minutes of runtime. I mean that would be more than their current grinder, but still.
My makita brushless grinder eats 5ah 18v batteries for fun. So if it did mean 2ah at 60v you'd be draining these in no time

And I was just about to pre order the new brushless makita recip. Now I might just wait for this dewalt one. I'm also in the market for a table saw but might just purchase the corded one as I don't see a real need for cordless on it.

For those who have never seen or heard of them, I thought I'd share. I only just came across them yesterday, some amazing machines
-
Can anyone tell what sort of runtime we can expect on 60v tools on a battery that's basically 18v 6ah or am I even making sense

These are now available for pre order for july on folkestonefixings in the U.K

I've never owned a recip and can't wait for this 18v. I've used the older version numerous times and found it crap, main reason I've yet to own one.

Has anyone heard any updates on release dates for these? I'm wanting to buy one of the 18v models and the last I heard was spring release. We're one month from summer and I'm still waiting to see them for sale!
There available in Oz now. Should hit Europe and the U.S soon

Yea I know it's an accessory overseas, and that's fine because you have a choice of bare or kit at launch as I understand it.
Here offering the bare tool without kit option at launch (almost always the case with all these new tools as of recent, and I will never understand why), which might be months, means it won't be available unless it comes with the tool. But since the bare tool has been listed at $199, Dewalt's favorite number, it almost certainly isn't even though it would at least make it more competitive with the Makita in the US.
I wish that was there favourite number here in Ireland, the tool with tstak and dust bag cost me €300

The cordless planer was "announced" this morning according to PTR, listing it as $200 bare tool (no mention of the dust collector so don't know if it's included or not, but if not available in kit at launch it would be a really stupid move if not) without a launch date, suggesting it was "soon". Nobody else has run an independent story yet so I'm not sure what press release they're referring to since they're the only mention of it thus far today.

I just bought the planer here in Ireland, had to buy the dust bag as an extra

I've just been taking on a bit of weekend work to fund for mine. I'd like to wait and see more reviews etc but I'm strung out for a new tool and I need a reciprocating saw. I was ready to order the new makita which hit UK markets the same week dewalt announced flexvolt and now I really want the dewalt one
