    Drink(s) Of Choice?

Let me know what you think... I have unfortunately become a bourbon snob but I love all 4 of those bourbons. I was in Boston a few years ago and asked for Makers, and they said they didn't have it but they had Jameson. I said "Not the same thing..." and the waitress said "Yes it is they're whiskey." lol. I think I'll keep my whiskey southern.

    Drink(s) Of Choice?

You should really check out Jim Beam Bonded it's about $20 a bottle (give your take your area's taxes/fees), it's 100 proof and it's delicious. I'd put it up against Makers for the price. For about the sticker of Woodford you should try E H Taylor's Small Batch - It smells like apples, no joke. To be fair - my friends run a Cigar and Spirits blog so I benefit from all the tasting's and samples they get. (Right now they have a backlog of about 100-200 cigars I get to help them with all of which go great with the samples of whatever they have on hand to drink - which is plentiful)

    Drink(s) Of Choice?

Perhaps I should have specified the TYPE of liquid i was referring to ... guess I thought it was implied lol Ok fair enough... I'd be happy to add Bell's to my list - Oberon and Two Hearted Ale are excellent. Check out Southern Tier's Warlock and Pump King if you like pumpkin ales. What is the Root Beer?
  6. 12. True... need something to chase that sweet Kentucky bourbon.
  13. Ditto - I've been using one and have shot at least 200-300 of various sizes. 1 1/4 to 2 in brads and the only issues I've had are with a few suspect strips - Usually the last 3 or 4 in a strip that have been butted up against the magazine follower. I have had a couple instances where i thought it jammed but in fact I wasn't pressing down quite enough in awkward positions. So far - it's been spot on for me. I've had a couple instances where the nail doesn't sink quite enough but usually when I'm using it on trim areas that aren't quite flat. But there is an adjustment for that if you're going to be shooting that type of material all day. Or just pop it with a nail set when it doesn't make it. That works for me.
  14. Good Job! Where are the coats!
  15. I don't think it was even a month ago when I was showing how nice and clean my shop was.... ahhh dreams. lol
  16. My brother bought me a Gransfur Bruks Scandanavian Forest Ax a few years ago for my birthday. I had always purchased whatever I found at the local hardware before that, but now it is worth it to me to save a little longer and get a tool like that. The quality is off the charts. They have have both a splitting maul and a collar guard splitting axe. They aren't cheap but you'll have them for years.
  17. Both the bench and the drawers are great looking! I love seeing these simple projects that look so clean - Less is more!
  18. Finally got the trim pieces on the Headboard.... and my workspace now looks like this lol...
  19. Well I slipped... I made it over a month without telling her what it was I was making. Last night I was exhausted, and a little frustrated trying to explain something and I said, "...at least I can work on the bed tomorrow.". So she said... "What bed?"... I knew my goose was cooked... Just so happens I cooked it a couple weeks too early. Lol - anyway. Thanks for the support guys, hopefully now she lets me keep with my original plans until it is finished, but I suspect some of it will change. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  20. Just a thought, but why don't you tell your Dad that it would mean a lot to you if he were to share this hobby with you. Maybe go to him with a project that's too big for one person to handle without a nice shop but that could be done with help. My dad loves tools too - but he doesn't love ham radio, which I've been into since I was about your age. I asked him to help me learn about it and over the next few years I he gave me more books that I could handle on the subject, a shortwave radio, an amplifier, and some other things. Just asking him to share that with me was something he appreciated even if he didn't really appreciate amateur radio.
