Since I have a feeling the people here aren't afraid of a project... You should check out ugly drum smokers or UDS's. They are cheap to make and people use them for competition smokes. They are that good. If a kit is more your style check out big pappa smokers online and his uds kits. I have a friend that just built one of these and it looks fantastic. But until then... Those Webber kettle grills are nothing to sneeze at when it comes to smokin'. I think you will have something to smile about tomorrow when you pull your food off! Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

I'm sure my wife would LOVE something else for me to collect lol. And.... now I kind of want to.
  3. I usually just use my foot and give it a good kick lol.

I hesitate to do this... the rabbit hole is real. Go check out bbq pit boys on youtube. They use webber kettle grills almost exclusively and they are always cooking something good. They smoke a lot like I do. Just drop some chunks of wood on the hot coals and cook with indirect heat. I'll say this - I don't watch that channel unless I have some food already. If I don't follow my own rules, I end up making a run to the store lol.

  7. I know the purchase has been made but I wanted to give my +1 for the Husqvarna. I love mine and it does a great job.
  8. Mostly Bosch for power tools and Milwaukee is starting to "bleed" (get it? - cause it's red...) into my lineup, but I use hand tools quite often too. You know, know that I think about it, I say mostly Bosch, but I have a pretty good variety. Bosch, Milwaukee, DeWalt, Porter Cable, Craftsman, Ridgid, - heck, I even have some old school Black and Decker, and Skill. My Lawnmower and string trimmer are even Ryobi. You can just see some DeWalt and Craftsman in the right hand corner on the shelving. If i were to go to the store and buy all new tools though, I think it would be mostly Bosch and Milwaukee with a pop of Festool in there for fun.
  9. I just used my Dad's 18ga brad nailer over the weekend. I'm adicted. I was looking for things to use it on! I have to admit, some of the things they do are really solid. (My Ryobi lawn mower for instance is fantastic).
  10. Those don't look like Festool clamps... How did you forget and order something that wasn't green?
  11. I have my weight bench on the other side - of the garage you can see the olympic bar sticking out past the bag in the background - The bad news is they have been covered with boxes too so I'm just now getting to where I can use them agian! They're coming - Right now I'm building a farmhouse bed for our anniversary so shop clean up has slowed down but it's still in the works! lol - I know what you mean. Now that I can see mine again I can't stop sweeping it. I don't know if it is from Sam's or not - I bought it at a moving sale for $20 Whatever it is I like it. Nice adjustable feet on the bottom, decently sturdy, and worth the $20 just for the nice wood top in my opinion. I worked out of a tiny apartment storage area for about 4 years so I'm loving the space but I understand your small footprint pain. I found that If I built up it worked pretty well. I had just about all my tools hanging from the joists above me and used most of the space for my workbench (which was considerably smaller). The walls fo the storage space were covered so almost nothing was on my workspace. In a small space I also found it was helpful to have just a plain flat table top that I could carry outside and set across some saw horses to give me a much larger work area when I was building something. The one I used was just a bunch of boards pocked hole joined to make a bout a 4ft x 6ft table top. The goog thing about that is it stores flat against a wall and takes up very little space In fact - I still have the table top and use it frequently as kind of a staging area and a second workbench.
  12. Thanks - I'll have to take a picture of it once the other side is done lol. (That is a deceptive picture with just that one corner.) Also, feel free send all your "used up" festool tools to me... you know the ones you don't want anymore cause the green isn't quite as vibrant as it used to be.
  13. After we moved into this house - the whole back and both sides of the garage were filled with boxes for about 2 and a half years. Now FINALLY I've been able to start making some headway to putting my shop back in order.

    HI!

The hole hawg... at the present time I have no use for it... but i still kind of want it lol. But to be honnest - I'm looking at the oscillating multi tool, the Jigsaw and the right angle drill. I'm going to need them for a project not too far down the road.

    HI!

I got here from youtube - I was looking for some information about my new Milwaukee m18 tools and ran across the channel. I'm a Bosch fan, but I'm really liking my new Milwaukee tools. I just wanted something quick and cheap to replace my old tools - I picked up Royobi.... and took it back in 2 days (charger died on 3rd charge). My plan was to buy some "hold me over tools" until some gen 2 brushless started to arrive and then I would spend a little more... so far with my new Milwaukee, I'm thinking I don't care so much about the gen 2 brushless tools because these are great! Maybe it's because my other tools were so old or becasue Milwaukee has turned on a little heat against the other manufacturers but I think they are fantastic. They might even get me to swap a few of my Bosh tools... might. Moxy
  18. Bigmikez - they are great... the track saw is great too for that matter as much as I pick on my Dad and brother for the festool collection they keep building - they are fantastic tools.
  19. Sure... just throw in a TSC track saw and the Domino XL joiner to be safe lol. OP - I looked at the Hitachi, DeWalt and Bosch and the Bosch (12 inch saws) won. For three reasons - It's super smooth, It has lots of adjustments and they all seem sturdy and well made, and it can ride flush agains my wall when I'm working so It saves some space. Ok really four reasons... it just looks cool with that glide system. Granted, I don't own the Hitachi or the DeWalt so the adjustments may be just as good and just as many, I don't know. For the same reason Chewie mentioned - I didn't want to get to a point where I didn't have enough tool so I went with the 12 inch for a little more.
  20. Nice microtech collection.... I couldn't get excited about the zombie tech line until I saw some in person now I want a zombie tech socom delta - guess I'm a little late to that boat. Also, is that a Chris Olofson bali in the front?

    Bosch gcm12gdl

I have the US version of the saw on the Gravity Stand also. It is fantastic - My father liked it so much he wants one - and he's a festool fan. I don't think you will be dissapointed. On another note. I just got an email back from Infiniity Cutting Tools that they are in the process of making a Zero Clearance plate with replaceable inserts for the GCM12's similar to the one they have for the festool Kapex. http://www.infinitytools.com/Festool-Kapex-KS-120-Aluminum-Miter-Saw-ZCI/productinfo/100-350/
