Graphic images... Obviously Well, at the beginning of summer break U had a little accident in the workshop that ended up with a 911 call and about a month in a splint. It's a long story, filled with bad ideas and mistakes, but luckily they managed to save everything and having health insurance meant it cost the family fairly little. anyway, if anyone has questions, I'm totally OK with being a safety advocate on the forum... Believe me, you never think it'll happen to you until it does. Today, it is just about fully healed, just need to let it round out and have the nail grow back. Sent from my One M8 using Tapatalk

So as a few of you know, I'm thirteen and obsessed with tools. My dad is not into it at all. Since a lot of you out there are old farts (JK), how should I get him into it? Sent from my One M8 using Tapatalk

I say brushes all the way. Brushless can be good, however it also makes the tool more fragile, and takes away some control from the user. Sent from my One M8 using Tapatalk

I saved a homeowner drill that I'm estimating to be late twenties from the garbage yesterday and I want to clean it up. However, in order to open it I need to take off the collet, which is rusted shut. What is the best way to open the collet screws? I'd rather not use anything very harsh, simply because I want to degrade the metal as little as possible. Thanks! spencer Sent from my One M8 using Tapatalk

Just found this behemoth at an Ace hardware, and damn is it a thing to gawk at... I know it's nothing special, but I've been trying to find one of these in person for years, and if it's Makita, I need to have it! Gonna be a while though, looking at the $700 price tag! Guys, I'm going into high school next year and I need to get a new backpack. Have you seen any good ones that are for textbooks and laptops rather then tools? I'm a big Makita fan, and I found one online, but it would have to ship from the UK and I couldn't find any in the states. Anyway, if you see anything, drop a comment if you don't mind! I'd go for a backpack blower, but get a good one. *cough STIHL cough* Sent from my One M8 using Tapatalk

Thanks, definitely expected my share of people saying to go with one top shelf brand or another, but I'm on a 13 year old budget, so I can't exactly do so, as much as I'd love it. I'll probably get the ryobi set, and when things get rough switch over to my Makita corded set. Sent from my One M8 using Tapatalk

Hey, I have some top shelf corded tools, but I need a good set of cordless tools to replace my B+D matrix toolkit, and I saw how inexpensive the ryobi 18v line was. I was very impressed with the price, but was also skeptical because cordless tools weren't very good until a few years ago. Are they worth it, or should I hold out for high end ones? Got 4 sheets of 3/4 MDF around 2 months ago for my furniture shop, and still have a sheet left. Had never used it before, and it is terrible. Remember guys, all MDF is is thick paper, and it is no good for anything with any weight. Lesson learned. Sent from my One M8 using Tapatalk
