  1. Awesome really looking forward to reading the results of yourself and others as they come in. Thanks for the in depth analysis of all these bits everyone! Probably 80% of my work I use 1/4" hex nut driver, then 5/16" nut driver, and maybe 3/8" and torx here and there. Been looking at the Milwaukee shockwave bits (being the Milwaukee nut that I am) but I'm not going to now. Really want to check out the Wera bits tho for sure. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks all just figured out how to change my displayed name so I decided to keep it the same as my pseudonym that I use around the interwebs ha My real name isn't Carl but dont ask how that came into play! I'm going to have fun here! Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

  4. Just having some fun looking at the different "unique" items around and had run across a couple things from Makita, maybe you have seen them, maybe not. 18v Cordless coffee maker! Not practical for me but..... The cordless hard hat cooler and fan cooled jacket: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLxwfJ21Trg This crazy bike: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1_6V93JYkE I'm laughing at a few of these and others out there by different manufacturers, kind of crazy to see what they're coming up with, and at the same time, I'm benefiting from so many cordless tools I never would have dreamed of. I want to do another post of the different tools I use on the job and maybe pass on a few tips and tricks from out here in the field. Edit: I guess the Pillsbury joke was a bit of a stretch.....
  5. So on the Makita 18x2 circular saw, can it run off one battery in a pinch? Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

  8. I outfitted my house with Homefront brand smoke detectors. Crazy expensive and I think you can only buy them from certain reps but really good quality, comes with lifetime warranty that is transferable if I ever move houses I can take 'em with me. Been really looking into the residential sprinkler offering from Uponor and guess I'll pass along this link because they have some awesome stuff out there perfect for my work. http://www.uponor-usa.com/Blog/2015/October/Have-to-Meet-the-Fire-Sprinkler-Mandate-Heres-your-Solution.aspx Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  9. Greetings from Ohio! I'd say you're pretty lucky having that kind of job without having to wonder where your next customer is going to come from. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  10. I just entered the 2015 @CHANNELLOCK Gridiron Garage Giveaway! You can have a chance to win, too! https://t.co/ypOKZpoAhr #CLGGG

  11. Yep, and cutting existing piping, when done for the day, spray it down with wd-40 to clear out moisture and lube it. Maybe white silicon spray after.Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  12. Nice!I had a '98 Jetta with the diesel in it. I put a taller 5th gear in the transmission and got 55 mph out of her. It ended too soon. I used to work in a garage but got sick and tired of the work so I don't consider myself automotive inclined My vehicle is '01 F-250 with the 7.3 Powerstroke. I put a veggie fuel system in and actually this makes it vehicle number 3 that I've owned and run on veggie oil. Have a regular little "refinery" to filter and what have you. 16. Hey, I'm a plumber for a HVAC/plumbing contractor, and help with the hvac when needed. Working under a licensed plumber for past 6 years and will soon get my license too. In NW Ohio, mostly residential, but I specialize in radiant tube heaters here for all applications, kind of a funny mix of work I know. Love my family, my work, and Milwaukee! Awesome stuff TIA is doing, found out about then thru my twitter (@knarlycarl) and been kept up to date thanks to their work. On a side note, TIA also stands for transient ischemic attack ha Be safe out there. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
