  1. Philips? - You superior Americans make me chuckle.
  2. Actually, all of Western Europe inc. UK is 230V AC. With +6%/-10% tolerance on that (IIRC) then 2x 110V is close enough.

    2x20V lawn mower

Possibly because homeowners outnumber landscapers 100,000:1 ?? 60V tools are a big hit but overkill for majority of homeowners who've already bought into 20V 40V is for the professional landscaper/maintenance guy 20V is where the mass market is.

    2x20V lawn mower

A 60V mower would be just willy-waving. If what you're cutting needs 60V, you shouldn't be using a mower. Given Dewalt's entire OPE range to date has both 20V and 40V versions, I'd lay money that a 40V model is not far behind this. But a 2x 20V model is just what I'm after. I'm assuming the quoted 1/4 acre runtime is for 2x 5Ah. Stick a couple of big FVs in there and I guess the runtime would (broadly) scale up accordingly.

    2x20V lawn mower

Can fit two FVs in there.
  7. Looks cute (assuming they aren't giant boots!)
  8. Running Red on AC and Yellow on DC is hardly a decent comparison!
  9. No belt sander? We've got two models in the UK..... Little One (DW433) Bigger One (DWP352VS)
  10. If this is true, Dewalt must be sending all their reject stock to the UK. Dewalt pliers in particular are shocking.
  11. I need two of those fans now.
  12. I'm ashamed how happy this makes me feel.
  13. Right now, using promo code "DEWALT20" on Toolup.com brings the price of 2x 6Ah Flexvolt batteries down to $159 Add another $40 of merchandise and you get free shipping. I'd be all over it if I lived in US!!
  14. Fantastic! Seems I already own 5x Flexvolt drills, 3x Flexvolt saws, 2x Flexvolt flashlights and 3x Flexvolt chargers!!
  15. I understand the concept of Flexvolt batteries. I understand the concept of 'Flexvolt' 54V/60V tools. What I do not understand is labelling what would appear to be a standard 18V XR / 20V Max tool (that does NOT run at a higher voltage) as 'Flexvolt'. Someone tell me what I'm missing with the DCV584L.
  16. I was referring to the DCV584L vacuum unit (dust extractor). The quote function cut off the part of Craig's post with this in it! The vacuum runs at 18V (or 14.4V) but is being referred to on European websites as "Flexvolt". That's just confusing.
  17. What I don't understand about this is why is it marketed/labelled as "Flexvolt"? It's 'just' an 18V XR/20V Max model isn't? The fact it can be used with 54V/60V Flexvolt batteries is irrelevant. I hope that Dewalt do not now market all their new kit as "Flexvolt" as this will make differentiation between 18V and 54V tools very confused.
  18. Eh? Think the OP is discussing the 2x Flexvolt battery mitre saw model. We have 220V chargers in UK!
  19. He was referring to the twin pack of batteries. 2x 2Ah = 4Ah
  20. Dear Dewalt Santa, Christmas appears to be 6 months early this year. I have been (almost) a very good boy and I would like you to bring me a big cordless mower. One or two Flexvolt batteries, I don't mind, as long as it's yellow and cuts the grass real nice. Oh, and some time in the next 6 months, a Flexvolt chainsaw would be real nice. I don't need Flexvolt for 'one hand' tools like drills or drivers as the battery is too heavy. But big stuff......that's all good. Thanks, I'll leave out a carrot for Rudolf. BA
  21. I'd be satisfied with a decent Dewalt XR/Max fan.
