  1. Yeah I think they are. Weird who owns who though. SK Tools was aquired by Facom then SK went bankrupt or something...Facom was bought by SBD etc... Don't really know all the back story. Quite an incestuous industry we love, no? A Shakespearean tragedy or a primetime Vampire drama has nothing on Fortune 500 tool companies.
  2. If you found a French tool brand...I would be shocked...then I would consider it. Where would we be as a civilization without Swiss chocolate? I would be dead long ago... for it is the one thing that can assuage my wife's wrath.
  3. PB Swiss is a great brand. I have quite a few of their tools myself. However, our business focus is on German brand (i.e. engineering... ideally German manufactured too) hand tools. If we ever branch out from the German brands, PB Swiss would be one of the first I would approach to distribute here State side. It isn't a huge leap from German to Swiss brands really. Thanks for the heads up @BMack37. Im always looking for new up and coming brands. Love the suggestions. Keep them coming!
  4. The always elusive Wiha Tool of the Day! Semi-off topic question. What do you usually call these? I grew up with them being allen wrenches. Ive heard l-keys, allen keys, allen wrenches, torx keys (for the torx design). I think the hex design makes them "allen" key/wrenches....but I don't really know. Anyone want to chime in?
  5. I live and breathe Oktoberfest. I can't get enough. Tools, beer, bratwurst, sauerkraut, punctuality, directness, weird sense of humor, metal bands...
  6. Yeah...shoot. Missed my favorite holiday!
  7. Perfect for carving the turkey on Thanksgiving.
  8. Im waiting on my boy to reply with some news regarding the sticker supply. Throwing KC Tool some love on Facebook or Instagram (or buying tons and tons of Wera Tools) will likely get my Sales Rep's attention.
  9. I was writing the card thinking, "Please God...don't let me write like a 3rd grader...as I usually do."
  10. Wera does some damn, sexy marketing.
  11. We ran out. Ill get more. Should be a couple weeks.
  12. I love where your head is at, but we have to eat too. It is a permanent code for TIA though. This isn't the end of the deals/promo/swag/etc... I'm excited to see where we can take this.
  13. Im Ryan. I love tools, specifically German engineered hand tools. My obsession has grown into my livelihood. I haven't been on the forum long, but the camaraderie amongst the members is easy to see. That is amazing. Seems like working with your hands (as a diy'er, hobby or career) grows character or something. Just good people...ya know? Thanks for having me.
  14. RIP Thoughts and prayers with his family. I've messed around with generators without insulated tools many times. Dang, thanks for the reality check.
  15. Give it a shot. If you hate the quality. Send it back. No questions asked.
  16. This isn't a deal of the day...but it is a helluva deal and pretty dang cool. Check out the video in the link, you will get a chuckle. Props to Collin in the warehouse as Santa. Wera Advent Calendar 2016 https://www.kctoolco.com/wera-135997-advent-calendar-2016/
  17. WOOD you CUT it out! Im dying up here... Nah, we don't really carry all that many. It is a pretty niche crowd. Around 18-24 different types of axes, hatchets, or other wood cutting instruments.
  18. A small selection of our wall of death.
  19. From Germany's oldest axe forge...or so they tell me. If you note the description it says, "Indispensable for cultivation of new growths and removing of small plants". Weird, I thought Ox head (ochsenkopf) only made things that will cut off ox heads. #murder
  20. I will post some photo's when the hoodie and stickers arrive.
  21. How about a review of the Gedore screwdriver set? Those are pretty hot right now. Super premium stuff there. When I bust out the Gedores I want to be working on something expensive. Not my pos 2006 Volvo S40... PS Check this out if you aren't familiar with Gedore http://www.prweb.com/releases/2014/08/prweb12112886.htm
  22. Wera has just announced their Autumn Promo's. The screwdriver set is pretty comprehensive and they won't roll off the work bench. The chisel drivers are my favorite. Beat the hell out of them and then use them as a pry bar...or a not-so-subtle beer can opener. L-keys are some of the best around. https://germantoolblog.com/
  23. I know it isnt a tool exactly, but placing our first "tool order" from TIA today. http://tiagear.com/
  24. Yeah the formatting went kinda wonky on me. My bad. Curse of the noobie, I guess.
