  2. This is one of the only Ryobi tools I'm actually interested in along with the inflator. I thought of ordering the Bosch Glue Pen from the UK but this seems like a better option.
  3. My RZ Industries mask came today...and by that I mean my replacement. I ordered their "Spitfire" design which came with one of the rivets on the nose clip broken and missing half of the Velcro needed to secure it on your face. Contacted RZ and they sent me a replacement. Unfortunately they're waiting for a new shipment of "Spitfire" and gave me the option of waiting or choosing a different design. Since I needed the mask ASAP I opted for the Limited Edition Gas Mask instead of waiting. They also were nice enough to send me a 3 pack of filters for the inconvenience. 4. I've used SketchUp for the last 6 years (I think) and I really like it for my uses, shop projects and temporary projects. It's gotten better over the years but something are probably a lot easier in more expensive programs like Autodesk. My biggest issue is when I am trying to round something over but I don't need to do that often. I found it rather easy to use and I have no background with drafting programs. I had the basics down in about an hour. I tend to try to do things on my own before looking for tutorials or help with it. That being said there are a lot of good tutorials out there for it now. The ones from Jay Bates that rfwjr mentioned are good. Like most things there is always something you're not going to know that someone else does. I use the free version, now called SketchUp Make, because I don't use it for commercial purposes. Any benefits from using the paid version are lost on me because of the $800 price tag (at least I think that's still the price). It does not have keyboard shortcuts for every tool which can get really annoying. There is nothing worse than getting really into a project and flying through it only to suddenly need a tool that doesn't have a shortcut and having to find it in the tool bar. 5. I bit the bullet and went with the Festool Longlife Bag for my Pro 5 LTD. Also decided to grab some Rubin 2 paper in 120 and 220 grit since I was ordering from ShopFestool anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. They're not out yet. Milwaukee is sending them out for people to review already. Mechanical Hub got two yesterday. Kinda hoping one shows up on my doorstep in the next few days. Since they're not being sold at an "incredibly low price" you can probably pre-order and not end up waiting forever like those of us that ordered the Festool sanders from everywhere or anything Flexvolt from CPO. 7. I actually used my nut drivers from this kit last night for the first time since I got it and was not happy to find I had to use one of the extensions to use it in my impact. I'm going to pickup some of their longer nut drivers that are actually usable to replace them. I have this older Shockwave kit that comes with the longer nut drivers. https://www.milwaukeetool.com/accessories/fastening/48-32-4402 Also, getting the bits out of the newer kit is a huge pain.
  8. Basically exactly that photo but with over 100' of tape out. I had it out of the package all of 2 minutes before breaking it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Nothing scary about the tape I am just an idiot. I bought the 300' tape, went home, started playing with it inside, pulled out over 100', and then when reeling it in it jammed up. After playing around trying to fix it for an hour I gave up. I literally broke it the first time I used it. After that it was decided I wasn't allowed to buy that kind of tape again. 10. Every time I look on KC Tool I think about getting that magnetizer/demagnetizer and never order it because I don't think I would use it. I really want that Wera driver but I don't "need" it and keep procrastinating on buying it. The Milwaukee 100' tape looked nice in Home Depot yesterday but I can't use those kind after an incident with a 300' Kobalt tape a few years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Picked up some Bessey clamps at Home Depot and this little Husky parts box since it was $2. I also found these small hinges I had planned to order from Rockler for $2 and a small spool of wire to test out some wire strippers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I had a few items I won from Bessey during their 12 days of Christmas giveaway on Facebook finally show up this morning. BV-HW45 4.5" Bench Vise I think this will be rather useful for some projects. I have to do something about the jaws since I will be using wood. Maybe make some wooden replacement jaws. D15-SET Compact Aviation Snips Comes with Straight, Left, and Right compact snips. I'm not liking the pouch because the snips being compact means that only about an inch of the snip is visible out of the pocket. It looked fine until I took the snips of the card backs. I think they use the same pouch for the compact and normal size snips. It also has an extra pocket that's rather small I guess it's for a marker. WMS-5 Welder's Magnetic Square (x2) I guess I need to invest in a welder now. They're really nicely made. The 112lbs of pull is rather nice. They're not strong enough to crush your fingers between them but are strong enough that you don't have to worry about them moving around on you. I need to pickup a metal service cart/tool storage cart and my original idea was to stick these to the side but now I'm thinking the better solution is to keep them in their boxes in a drawer.
  13. I'm not familiar with it either. The was the first time I've heard it. I'm use to seeing linerlock for this style knife. This is basically what I think of when I hear it. Which is exactly like what my grandfather carried.
  14. Not a fan. I'm so use to using a thumb stud and one hand to open and close a knife that this would be pretty annoying. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. At that price I will probably just get the dust bag since it's only $30. http://www.shopfestool.com/festool-longlife-dust-bag-rts-dts-ets-sanders-201693/
  16. I wish I had the money for 3 or 4 of them when the pre-order opened. It would have been nice if the coupon was able to be used on accessories. I need to pickup the dust bag/box for it.
  17. Oh and this came today finally. I can't recommend ShopFestool/US Tool and Fastener enough. They were great through this entire Festool debacle. If, and quite frankly it's a big if at the moment, I buy anything else Festool it will be through them.
  18. So I finally started my Knipex collection. I ordered them from Sears since I had $20 in SYW points and a lot were going to expire soon. So I bought the 03 01 180 7-1/2" Combination Pliers & 20 01 140 5-1/2" Flat Nose Pliers. The combination pliers were free with my points.
  19. This showed up from Home Depot this morning. Unfortunately the UPS driver is inept and dropped it onto my steps instead of placing it on them and managed to break the case in two places and rearrange the entire contents of the case. I had just the 1/4" Dowel kit coming from Sears, I ordered the entire kit from Home Depot afterwards since it was so cheap, but somehow when it got to UPS in Maryland last night the contents of my package went "missing". They found the box empty and discarded in the facility. I chatted with Sears and they gave me a full refund, some coupons, and 10% off my next order (supposedly but I don't have a coupon code yet).
  20. I've been looking into a few benchtop tools and the WEN items seem to have pretty decent reviews in line with brands like Ridgid, Ryobi, and Porter Cable. Unless you're using it all day every day it will probably do just fine. Will it last as long as one of the better brands? Probably not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. That was a great deal on those Gearwrench sets. Suggested list price from Gearwrench for the 80550 is $235 and the 80300P is $205. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I actually love that level. Unfortunately I left mine at a relatives new house attached to the tv mount I put up when they pissed me off while helping them move and I am no longer on speaking terms with them so I'll never see it again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. UVEX makes decent safety glasses. I had a pair at one point but have no clue where they went. Are these a new model? I've never seen them before. If they fit the same way my DeWalt Convertors fit you will probably hate them as goggles. I tried it once with my Convertors and just couldn't stand the way they felt on my face. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I like Empire levels and Milwaukee, but only the torpedoes not the new Red Stick's, they're too expensive for me. I also just got two OX Tools levels to try out. They seem well made but I haven't used them yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. First time I put it on her she tried to eat it. Eventually she gave up and now comes to me to put it on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
