  1. I see your poncho and raise you one sweater. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Like when the deal is for a 2 pack of impact bits for $2 and you end up spending $25 by the time you add enough to make the $6 shipping not hurt.
  3. Final item from my Acme Tools order came in this morning. Dead On Tools Pro Utility Pouch. The only things I'm not liking about it are the Handle because it hangs in the pouch when you have the belt on which is going to interfere with removing tools from the back pockets (it may be getting cut off) and the cell phone pocket. The cell phone pocket is made for either a smaller flip phone or an older candy bar style phone. My iPhone 6+ sure is not fitting in it. The belt is nice and long. I can't wait to get some time in with this pouch to see how it holds up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Look at it this way. The 9.0 Starter Kit is $249 same as the kit with the 7-1/4" saw. You're getting the saw for free so if they do eventually release a left blade 7-1/4" you're not out any money because the saw was free and then you can buy the bare tool left blade saw.
  5. Thanks for all the advice. I found the slick deals thread.
  6. The Fount app is the only way I've gotten any points. I'm on my computer all day any way so when I need a break from what I'm working on I've been checking the site. I did spend a bit of time the other day going through all the sweeps and entering them when I had nothing else to do. I have noticed everything on the SYW site seems to be more expensive than from other places, even from the same vendor compared to their website.
  7. Those would be as big of a waste of money as the tech bag was. It looked promising but turned out to be a dud, for me at least. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. These finally came in from Acme Tools. The multimeter seems nice I just need to figure it out because I've never owned one before. The fish tape is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I also got a bag of cable ties but they're not interesting. Now I'm just waiting on my tool pouch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I can't win any points to save my life.
  10. That's not a tape measure. This is a tape measure! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Lucky. I'm still waiting for the brain fairy to visit mine. She's constantly acting like she has no clue what I'm saying. Unless I have a treat and then magically she understands. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Same here. I'm far enough into this debacle that I'd be more pissed at myself for canceling after waiting 3 months than I would be at Festool. Though I am at least luckier than everyone that's stuck waiting until March. Mine is supposed to be to the dealer around January 17th and then shipped to me. I'll believe it when I see it. 13. I'm starting to feel that way. There are a few One-Key features I think are great like the ability to select your material for the Sawzall (and the cut brake) and the setting different modes on the impact driver.
  14. We just tried it with me leaving, going to the store, and reporting my impact missing. Josh turned on his bluetooth and made sure location services were on. Nothing happened. After 5 minutes of it doing nothing I had him open the app. Still nothing happened. I waited a little longer then decided to come back past the house to see what happened when I was on Wi-Fi. Only then did it find my tool. I am pissed. The other day it must have worked because Josh was at our cousin's on her Wi-Fi network and I was at our mom's with Wi-Fi. I'm going to email Milwaukee about this.
  15. I was actually really excited for the Red Sticks when they were announced but after seeing the prices I won't be getting any unless they are given to me. Pricing them at the same price as Stabila was a bad move. Anyone spending that kind of money is going to buy the Stabila because they're a proven brand. Milwaukee should have priced them cheaper to try to beat out Stabila for sales. There's no way I'm going to pay $169 for a 48" magnetic Red Stick when I can pay $30 for the Empire 48" magnetic (which I have and it is a fantastic level).
  16. Actually it looks like maybe it does work without the app open. It mentions that the app may use location services even when the app isn't open. Maybe it detected my impact when Josh gave the app permission to use location services but it took a minute or two to actually send me the message in which time he opened the app.
  17. Hmm, if it works without the app needing to be running great. Maybe Milwaukee has an update for the app coming out soon that makes it work without the app being on, which would be so much more useful.
  18. Bluetooth and GPS/location services have to be on though. When I reported my impact missing last week to test whether you needed GPS on or the app open Josh had to turn on GPS and open the app before I got a notification saying it had been found. It couldn't find my impact without the app on even though Josh was within 30' of it.
  19. The problem is the cost. The companies would have to pay for a phone or tablet for each employee and then the employee would have to turn on the app and leave it on. I don't see the post office ever implementing it but landscape companies or similar companies with a lot of crews on the road would work. Government services, especially local, don't have the funds. 20. I'm buying the 50 pack. Price doesn't matter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. It wouldn't be too heavy. I've run the Milwaukee 4.0 and 5.0 batteries on my M18 drill and it's still not heavy. Would I want to be drilling above my head all day long? No. The DeWalt would be comparable in weight. As far as your two options. I have the 2404 which is the hammer drill version of the Milwaukee you linked. It's a great drill and doesn't weigh too much. I don't have experience with the DeWalt but my guess is it would work comparable to the Milwaukee I have. If you don't have plans to really dive into the DeWalt platform and you don't use a drill every day I would go with the Milwaukee. If there are more DeWalt tools you would like to buy in the future I would get the DeWalt kit because it gets you a free battery for future use.
  22. How do the Uline tapes feel? They go for $7/ea on Uline ($6 if you order 4 or more) so they're pretty cheap. I'm surprised you found a carton for $5. Makes me wish I needed to buy anything from Amazon so I could pick a few up.
  23. They're the SK 3 pc. Flexible Pliers Set part number 89103 and it looks like you can still find them at some random online retailers. Places like Amazon and Northern booth list them as unavailable but a few places had them for sale. Husky apparently has a similar set but they have a pair of tongue and groove instead of the cutters.
  24. Or they see the higher price and would rather save some money than be safer.
  25. Ugh. So much want, so little money. That's a great giveaway! I already entered.
