Lol.I do have a couple Chicago tools like oscillating tool and a old orange belt sander.. The oscillator still works good the sander gets hot so doesn't get much use..I read that also they had actual brands seems crazy when u see what they have now.. My step dad calls it the Chinese tool store lol

Ic. Ya just looked it up says its a sealed self cycling nitrogen actuator. So I learned a lil bit today lol. I obviously never used one the price is to much for me..
-
They had shit for drills and stuff before so guess two is better then one lol. At least the Bauer tools are priced more like harbor freight tools should be.. but they don't have numbers near the Porter Cable or ryobi... 1300 on the torque of the impact isn't very good that's barely over the number Makita puts on the sub compact impact they sell..

The new guns don't use gas tho.. Maybe they seen the way dewalt wasn't flying off the shelf and switched gears put that idea on the back burner.. Idk either tho

Thank you.. Yes that is the saw I wanted but my Lowes didn't have one in stock and of course a week after I bought mine both Lowes near me have one in stock think that is going to be my next move tho. I like the way it looks and the fence is very nice.. I just don't have the extra for big tools very often so guess this is the crap I gotta deal with when tryin to save a buck

And thanks for the tip that might sway my decision a little bit

Well I placed my order and then cancelled it, had to use some of the money i was spending on it.. I got the ridgid instead.. I'm not sure if I want to keep it or not though.. The table isn't very flat and the blade has some of the trunnion prob that others have had it isn't terrible and it does cut good but I just don't know if it is worth what I paid to deal with it or if I should take it back and order the grizzly.. I will have the money in a week or two..

That is a great idea... I like the last one.. have fun on vacation Cali sounds like would be a good time
-
I went to harbor freight the other day and they had both Hercules and Bauer on display so naturally I started playing with them they actually look and feel nice.. not 100 dollar nice though like others have said would rather buy a name brand for that money, you can get the brushless DeWalt set for 269 right now and to get both of these would be around 220 I would def spend that extra 50$ or so all day.. but I do applaud the effort

Make a jig for table saw not to hard and I bet he would be amazed, people never understand what it takes too make these ideas they have so that is cool ur letting or making him help.. can't wait to see what it turns out looking like..
-
You could make a fence, make it like a L shape so you can clamp it. you would have to measure front and back of the blade every cut but with those saws that's normal anyway. Other wise you will have to do like everyone says and keep a eye on Craigslist or maybe ebay..

That is the best multi tool ever right there.. nice buy
-
Not at my home Depot but I'm sure they do think I seen one on cpo.. but didn't have money on card anyway so had to buy with cash

Grizzly has nice stuff but to get the resaw depth that you get from a rikon it cost more to go grizzly. And rikon looks like better quality overall
-
Wow that's a hell of a score on that Walnut that is expensive wood really beautiful when finished.. can't wait to see what it becomes
-
Although I really liked the Hitachi it just wasn't what I wanted.. So I took it back and rolled the dice on this Ridgid and so far I like my decision a lot..
-
Wow that's crazy... Ya that might help
-
I know we haven't been a lot of help but have u made up your mind or wondered around other options? It looks like I'm going with the wen because my budget won't allow for a 800 dollar purchase lol
-
Ya sounds like a loose belt or something.. 1/2 hp should be plenty of power for a lot of different wood..
-
Well really wanted the grizzly but this will do until I save for a cab saw.. I got a good one woohoo lol..
-
Laguna looks very nice wish it was in my price range that would def be the one to get.. If resaw depth doesn't matter as much I wouldn't def get the rikon from the two you mentioned.

That is very good to hear thanks

I don't have room for 50in this one goes 31 to the right and 16 to the left I have read that you can move it over one hole and get a couple inches more to the right so that may be what I do to get a couple extra inches
