  1. Ya that stuff hurts lol.. I don't need any help getting hurt that's for sure
  2. I use my impact for drilling holes a lot it doesn't have that wrist snapping twist when the drill binds up just blows through the wood no problem.. i do use my drill for smaller holes but always turn to the impact for big holes. It is faster I think and I just have the brushed Porter Cable drills not the fancy brushless ones u speak of lol... Welcome to the forum
  3. I finally got a chance to look at bits on KC and they are all out of my price range lol... I'm sure they are better then the big box stores bits though.. maybe when I get extra cash I will try some of those they all look nice and have good looking cases.. those are just wishlist items after the gotta have for shop items lol
  4. Wow that looks like it would be better but they are pretty pricey. If you use it a lot it would be worth the price but I don't do enough metal roofs to justify that price tag maybe Ann will tho
  5. No problem. Oh and watch your face when cutting it hurts a bit when the hot metal hits you because it will happen.. and that saw you listed might be under powered I would go 18/20 volt if going cordless. I could be wrong on that since I haven't used it but that's the path I would take.
  6. We use a circular saw with metal cutting blade its loud but it works great
  7. Bandsaws are good for lots of things def worth purchasing one
  8. Wow that's sweet!! Look forward to seeing the bench your planning to make
  9. I like the gold Makita bits they are the absolute best. That Bosch looks like it could be nice but haven't tried them.. I do have a lot of the kobalt bits I bought when they were on sale they work pretty good for the price but def not on the same level as Makita.. the makita magnet even works good lol
  10. Wow that's a nice looking drill with crazy rpm.. maybe the buy out from kkr is going to help push metabo and Hitachi forward I know the Hitachi stuff has gotten better and now this.. wish my local stores carried more of these lines of tools tho.. but who knows what could happen. Lowe's has more Hitachi but can't find metabo anywhere
  11. That is a good article. looks like I will be stepping my hand plane game up before I start with end grain cutting boards lol.. thickness planers are to expensive to risk breaking it. And I just don't see how I could fit a drum sander in my work shop
  12. Wow sounds like something was off that's crazy.. I've seen it done with no problem but never made a end grain one myself.. definitely something to pay attention to.. that would be a exciting day in the work shop lol
  13. Think the Milwaukee would be the way to go. they have a huge line of tools and bare tools when you have batteries laying around. that would save a little money down the road.. That's what I would do if I was looking at those two brands
  14. Ic I would prob still use the same method never really considered the end grain needing to be done differently.
  15. They will probably be relabeled as DeWalt tools lol.
  16. Is that what you used? Do they work good? I have always wondered but have never had the chance to try one.. I would want to use a thickness planer for flattening it, then little sanding with random orbital.. but always interested in new ways the try things.
  17. Well it's hung the whole cabin is knotty pine so kinda blends right in...
  18. Hahaha money saved his behind that time.. He also said the glove didn't fit with a straight face.. But who the hell puts on a glove that way? I always spread me hand open to put them on lol.. Every piece of evidence pointed in his direction, and no innocent person runs from the police. But that is what they said
  19. Made these little end tables from some wood I had laying around and used metal towel racks for the base. Two are made with maple and hickory and one is oak, Two of the bases I painted black.. My little sister is going try and sell these for me at her sales tent she runs in diff towns at like flee markets and other events..
  20. Thanks.. I absolutely will
  21. As long as u don't have any of his stuff or you're not his ex then your good lol.. Hope he learned something when he had time to think
  22. Three big hinges lol, this one swings open it doesn't roll like the barn door style. I built and painted a set like that on a diff project but never got pictures.
  23. Thank you guys now installation in the morning
  24. I made this knotty pine door for a customers cabin today.. Just one more coat of poly and it will be done
