I tried the older 4 pole Milwaukee side by side with the fuel Thursday just gone and the older drill was the most powerful drill I saw on the day of the tool fair in Manchester.

Be under no illusion folks don't get carried away I tested side by side today the Milwaukee fuel v the older 4 pole motor model and the older model will drill bigger holes for longer. The fuel will drill smaller holes longer than the older model. This is an inescapable fact with all brushless versus 4 pole brushed drills.

Theres a bunch of people who are scared of a few bad stories but in the main the new generation lithium ion tools are mostly great. I have a metabo grinder 18v and it is the best on the market full stop because it works exactly the same as a corded and just the same power and the batteries last an age even on the job site. So please don't be put off cordless by these people.

Ryobi depends where you are in the U.K Up north there seem to be quite a few repairers who take them on but I would strongly recommend writing to them or sending them an email explaining the problems you have had. If you need any more help just message me and I will try to help.
