Conductor562
Yea, that's why they aren't cheap.
Conductor562
Right now if you buy one from OPT you get a free battery and Copper tubing cutter. Does little to ease the pain though. Man, $3 grand is a hard pill to swallow.
PutnamEco
Even the manually operated ones are pretty pricey...
Conductor562
Even the Ridgid RP 210-B is $2000
wayneburgess
Me thinks I will be carrying on using copper fittings
Conductor562
Yea, I'll be using solder, flux paste, and a torch!
PutnamEco
Any thoughts on those SharkBite fittings. I'm afraid to try them any place that may end up flooded, and most of what I work with could end up that way.
Conductor562
Makes me a little nervous too. Read a horror story online where a leak done some major damage. When they went to file a warranty claim the fitting company layed it all on the press tool manufacturer and the press tool manufacturer layed it on the fitting company. End result was neither one paid the claim.
wayneburgess
Shark bite are the same as some fittings we have over here and they are great.Just follow the manufacturers instructions to the letter and you will have no problems. And never ever use on gas of any kind.
