Jronman
This happened today. When I forget to lock the OF 1400 router to the guide rail adapter bad things happen. On a good note the bit, router, guide rail adapter, and most importantly myself were not damaged.
BMack37
That sucks man, glad you didn't do more damage, especially to yourself. My guess is that they engineered it with metal soft enough that it wouldn't do any serious damage.
ChrisK
Yeeesh! That sucks! Thankfully you weren't hurt. Were you using the locking base plate?
Jronman
The thumb screw on the base of the OF 1400 to lock the metal bars that come with the router kit is what I forgot to tighten.

Jronman
well apparently the flexvolt tracksaw dont need no tearout guard. Appears to be anything noticable on the goodside in the spot of the guide rail my router cut into.
