firefighter4187
I have finally save enough money to buy a 20v circular saw. I am looking at one on eBay that is manufactured refurbished. What's your experience with refurbished tools?
wayneburgess
Manufacturer refurbished are just about as good as new and can have long guarantee
Conductor562
I've bought some reman stuff here and there. I've always been happy with it. The only downside is that the warranty isn't typically as long, but warranty isn't a huge concern for me anyway.
FerTheHandyman
I've bought a couple of Dewalt tools that we're refurbished and have'nt had a problem with them. If it's cheep enough go for it.

ChrisK
Hey Chase. I've bought from CPO and Big Sky Tools. They have stand alone sites and sell on EBay too. If its from either of these guys they are the best. Awesome, mostly new condition but Wayne is right, year warranty, that's normally it. When I've bought Milwaukee from CPO the batteries are normally new, but not Red Lithium, just the older tech M18. Good luck!

Conductor562
The only real concern I ever had was getting a previous generation battery or something, but with the 20V Max that isn't a concern. The fact that you're buying a bare tool voids this concern also.

The fact that you're buying a bare tool voids this concern also. When I bought my m12 clamp meter of cpo it was listed as having a red lithium battery included with the kit according to their webpage, but what shipped had the old non lithium battery they handled it just fine and shipped a red lithium battery out right away. You just have to be more through with refurbished tools.

Conductor562
Nothing like the mail man showing up at the door with new tools. Waiting for him to get there is what sucks.

ChrisK
You know...for all the waiting the least they could do is say send a young women in something like US Postal Service lingerie or something like that. Well well well that was worth the wait Ma'am!

wayneburgess
We have a store owned by wal-mart and if you ask a member of staff a question they tilt the head to one side a bit like your dog the first time he hears a trombone
