Peter S
Hi Folks; I have a collection of 18 V volt Dewalt tools in great condition, as well as contractor friends, all looking for decent replacements for the 18 V XRP NiCad batteries. I have have considered ordering on-line directly from 'off-shore' sources but am confused by the options. I find NiCad, NiMH, and Lithium types, apparently all available in aa XRP housing. I have an electronics background but not interested in replacing the cells in my existing batteries (unless a pre-assembled assembly was available). I have read that my old chargers are not suited to Lithium (or NiMH?) charge rates/duration etc, but would consider buying a new charger. Has anyone had luck finding an economical (off-shore) source for batteries for our old reliable 18 Volt tools? Thanks, Peter in Canada
