Conductor562
A couple years back I predicted Estwing would be the last holdout, but would eventually get onboard and put out a lightweight framer. Strolling through HD the other day I thought my prediction had come to fruition when I saw these: Upon further inspection, there really isn't any apparent hook. Nowhere do they claim any striking force increase, etc. They are unique in that they are solid forged and feature no welds at all, but they really look to be more of a design update. Very nice looking hammers. I'd think that given how closely this design mimics the lightweight designs from Stiletto, Dewalt, and Vaughan, there would have to be some striking force gain, but I'm no scientist. Nice looking hammers though

Harold Wray
Besides 15oz and 19oz I don't see any difference. I would agree striking force is the only difference.

Eric - TIA
Looks cool. A long time ago we went to the factory where they built these hammers and it was cool. Sad thing is they were talking about how many people they have laid off over the years because of the cheaper hammers coming in from China. It was amazing to see how much striking force the machines had when they would pound the steel. I was standing about 20 feet back and you could feel the ground shake.
Conductor562
These hammers were priced right at under $40. On the back of the package there was a picture some of their workers and it talked about how your purchase helped keep jobs in America. Hell, I want one and I don't even need another hammer.
Harold Wray
Me too. I'm going to look for them next time I'm at Lowe's.
