fyrfytr998
Looks like Craftsman is once again porting over some more XR tools to the RP line…..
Altan
Why does Craftsman copy from DeWALT but only once DeWALT can not copy that table top tile saw from Craftsman?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because DeWalt is the Flag Ship brand at SBD. They don’t copy their parent companies lesser brands. The Craftsman tile saw is just a rebranded Porter Cable. If they did that, they would lose customer confidence fast. That’s like asking why doesn’t Milwaukee copy Ryobi so they can finally put out a track saw. Milwaukee fans would lose their minds. I know the Porter Cable tile saw, Porter Cable also stands behind Craftsman and they did copy that tile saw from Porter cable. So I would say that was a mistake to make that tile saw with Porter Cable at first stage so they could not make a copy of that for DeWALT. Porter Cable is almost a dead brand. I would really like the decision makers in SBD to take an IQ test!
fyrfytr998
Looks like I may have been mistaken. I went over all the DeWalt and PC models. This saw is not a clone of any of them. Could it be that the new RP line now has its own R&D budget? This is exciting!!
