FlightRisk Posted March 12 Report Posted March 12 I just bought this mower and had it shipped from HD. When I took everything out of the box, I found 2 broken plastic pieces. One under the mower, the other stuck under the bottom box flap. I scoured every inch of the outside of the mower and the attachments and can't find anything broken. It obviously holds a bearing or something cylindrical. I was worried it could be something up inside where the motor mounts. But maybe someone can say it was just something from the factory and has nothing to do with that mower. Here are 2 pictures of the part. They 1.5" (4cm) long. Both parts are broken in 2 places, the clip or end of the circular part and the opposite end. The parts don't mate, so whatever they broke off of has the other part still attached. Quote
Eric - TIA Posted March 13 Report Posted March 13 Got me, but curious if you find out. If you can't see anything, wondering if it just had to do with shipping, almost something to hold the handle in place so it's not bouncing or something along that line. Quote
FlightRisk Posted March 15 Author Report Posted March 15 I actually thought the same thing! But I got another one and no broken pieces and no plastic pieces that need to be removed. I saw a part it could be based on videos where people took one apart. It would be a mounting piece underneath the canopy. I gave up and ordered a new one. I can't believe they don't pack these better. Both units just have the charger thrown into the case where it can rattle around at one end of the mower. Quote
Eric - TIA Posted March 15 Report Posted March 15 LOL, that is crazy how they pack it and still wonder what the piece is for. Weird. Quote
