midogrumpy
hi "bad news" just spoke to a Dewalt rep delay of the radio/charger in Germany (looks like valid for all Europe) till June 2013 I don't know the reason, but my personal assumption (from rumors) is that the radio will have a bit more functionality like DAB, DAB+ nevertheless: bad marketing (as the radio/charger should already be on market more than 6 months/initial start of XR range)
PKDEWALT
I got my radio last Thursday i think its pretty nice a lot more presets and you can change the bass and treble. Its a big improvement over my last radio 2 versions ago.
quig1984
Got my radio today! I'm def excited to have it. I'll be honest...for 20 bucks more I'd def rather have the Bosch... Although it is an improvement and I do like it.. 180 is def steep for this. But all my tools are dewalt and I have had the radio on for a long time already with a 12v that is like 3 years old and 1.3 amphr
luselrios
Slow Dewalt, I know this is a Dewalt forum, but i am kind of disappointed, every time they lags to the competition, We, being tool fanatics want the best technologies and the sooner the better, I know they can't release a lot of new tools at one time but my main complaint is the Europeans seem to get all the cool tools first and more of them. E.G. Dewalt cordless framing nailer Dewalt combo miter/table saw stations, I would buy either one of those in a heart beat, but I don't know if their market is bigger in Europe than it is here in the good old USA. i just feel left out I must have over 10,000 worth of Dewalt tools, and slowly but surely I'm switching to other brands, I am not ditching Dewalt tools I am just saying if something needs replacing and/or a new tool comes out I am no waiting for Dewalt anymore. They can take it to their European friends and keep it there.
