regopit
Another High School dropping it's trades program http://m.mywebtimes.com/news/local/can-of-worms-tradesmen-join-suspended-oths-students/article_089d574c-8721-54c5-a886-0bf5571dc855.html?mode=jqm
mustang347
Very sad and it's happening everywhere. The high school I graduated from had a whole trades wing. We also had an option to go to vocational school for school credit when you reached junior year. All gone now. I can say without a doubt I would not be the man I am today without that experience. My ability to give my family a good life and to be lucky enough to do something I truly love has its roots in a high school shop.
Anonymous
Sounds about right, when kids need the classes more than ever they shut em down.
Conductor562
Terrible to see yet another such program die, but kudos to the kids for sticking up for the program.
NicholasShetley
Our programs here are showing no signs of dying.

PT Custom
I hate it see classes dropped but in my experience the kids who took" shop"Classes in school were mostly just bad or lazy students and didn't end up in the trades anyways Most of my trades friends actually went to college
