As for demagnetizing your wrench, get a General Tools magnetizing/Demagnetizing tool from HD and run it through there if it will fit. That's the easiest way. If not, try laying it on an anvil or vise anvil and wack it once with a hammer. Hit it firm but, not enough to damage it.
