DR99 Posted May 20, 2014 Report Share Posted May 20, 2014 I know most people use rotary hammers with the hammer function turned off for diamond core drilling. The only thing that might be an issue is what kind of chuck you diamond core bit uses. I can't see why your Makita can't handle 2" 3" hole it might not be recommened to do that multiple times with that drill its not built as beefy as a rotohammer.
