Bremon Posted August 3, 2015 Report Share Posted August 3, 2015 Well a month ago I bought new tires and wheels for the pickup, and they are a bit bigger than the old ones. To my dismay, they rub at full crank. Today, I got around to removing my mud flaps to solve the problem. I had the wheels cranked each way to allow more access, and while removing the drivers side flap I see something that doesn't look right; my sway bar is hanging in mid air not connected to anything. It's fairly common for them to rust through and disappear on you, and will definitely be on my list of preventative maintenance from now on. Sway bar link kits are inexpensive, and easy fixes, just a reminder to double check your vehicle over periodically, sometimes you don't realize things are awry until it's too late. Also we have more potholes than roads here in Michigan which also does a number on suspension parts and rims and tires. I just had to deal with a flat a few days ago. It's nice that Discount Tire plugs tires for free! Well they have an ulterior motive with that offer its a good way to sell tires anyways!!
