I never knew they had cordless tools. There is a 18v kit, 20v kit, and even some 40v and 80v outdoor equipment. I'm not in the market for another cordless set but just found it interesting. Really just wondering if they are a rebranded tool or something. It does say they have a 5 year tool guarantee. DR99 Posted October 2, 2015 Report Share Posted October 2, 2015 The Kobalt 40/80v tools are just rebadged Greenworks outdoor OPE. The 18/20v power tools are made my Chervon Tools they are big tool OEM. The power tools have a 5 year no hassle warranty not sure what they have on the batteries though. Kobalt is supposed to take on Ridgid at the Home Depot but Ridgid is better all around more tools to choose from plus the LSA aka Lifetime Service agreement. BMack37 Posted October 2, 2015 Report Share Posted October 2, 2015 I haven't used them but i did notice at my Lowe's some of the tools were on sale. the Kobalt reciprocating saw was one of them, I can't recall the other. I did do a little research and it looks like they have been around since 2011. That is interesting about the outdoor power equipment. They only have the most basic tools (drill, impact driver, circular saw, reciprocating saw, light) plus an impact wrench. If that is not an issue to you, go for it.
