Powertools batteries: what about battery cells ?

Hi guys,

As we all know, cordless tools are great.

Powerful and some batteries seem to last forever but I'm guessing the weak link is always the cells inside the batteries.

The batteries will always be as good as its cells.

I'm guessing that reputable cells manufacturers such as Panasonic and Sanyo would probably manufacture dedicated cells for most of the powertools brands. Do you guys have any input on what type / quality cells brands are using ?

Thanks

Well, I have no personal knowledge or experience about the batteries used in the packs, but I took a gander and pulled apart a bad V28 milwaukee pack and it uses Molicell batteries. Which are no longer available and I decided at that point to just toss the project..... You looking at rebuilding your packs?

Good luck!
