At work I find myself observering my tools and all their glory..I even sometimes stage them in a way that other people can't help but admire aswell..

So here I propose a thread of these said moments for all to enjoy!!

And if we can only post when it contains a picture of "tool porn"..leaving us with endless scrolling of Milwaukee goodness!!

BTW, I might have a problem..

Was disappointed with my Milwaukee tapes (first gen). Magnetic especially, I don't work with steel stud much, so the majority of what that tape did was collect debris, and the magnet broke off with moderate use. Ill see if I can't add to this thread with a pic of some decent tools

Hey Bremen, out of curisotiy, how many tapes have Milwaukee made? Like I know they have the different model of tapes, 16 feet, 25 feet, 35 feet, SAE/Metric combo, but how many generations have they made? Whatever generation they are on now, I like them, just too dam sexy for me to pass up on. Besides, I could use a quality tape to replace my old Stanley, and my dollar store tape lol

the picture you posted is of the new 2nd generation layout type tape. Looks to be much better, and closer to a Stanley FatMax which is my favourite tape (though I'm using a 25 and 16 Milwaukee until they break currently).

I've certainly read plenty of bad reviews on the tape..

Only bad thing I've expirenced w it was I left it under a house lol..I even went back for it but couldn't find it..some little critters have a sweet ass tape down there now haha

Seriously though these tapes are tough..I bought a combo pack at HD for about 25$ and a co worker bought the 16 off me and he is less than nice w his tools..if anyone can break it it's him..been about a year or more and we wear/use them daily and haven't had any issues!!!

Only dislike is it can be tricky to get to sit up right due to its less then flat bottom..

But for me these tapes are great..best part is milwaukees awesome wire clip..easy to find and slip on & super strong to stay w you where ever you go!!

I love that drill and especially that sawzall! I think I am addicted to tools, I wonder what the first clue was? Was it that I enjoy having more power with FUEL, or is it that I am in love with that RED color. HAHA :D

I'll second that! I have such a hard time not buying Red and Fuel everything. But sometimes I can't justify... well, heck, I'll just get the Red. That Red, that Fuel logo, that extra rubberization, and that warranty will play tricks on one's ability to rationalize.

It's not the just the weight, it's the bulkiness that I don't like w a 35'. The new Milwaukee tapes stand up better than mine (vertically, can't speak to durability). The housing on these tapes are bulletproof though and the wire loop is much better than a clip as far as not destroying your jeans or leg goes.

I have just recently went to all Bosch just to try a brand I hadn't used before, but I kept a few of my Milwaukee tools. I'll have to say that great performance aside the Milwaukee tools just look sharp. I think sometimes aesthetics can be enough to sway someones decision when they are torn between brands.

I've got a Milwaukee 16ft Tape Measure. The thing looks bad ass, but I don't like the tape on it. It only has a 7ft stand out which really sucks compared to the 11' foot stand out on my Stanley 25ft Fatmax. The Milwaukee also developed a slight kink around the 11 inch mark or so, i've had the thing for less than 3 months I think. Thing's I do appreciate about the Milwaukee is that its built like a rock, the hook on the end grabs nicely, the belt hook is the best ive seen, it looks really nice, it feels really nice, the built in finger guard is kinda funny though, its not like my finger was ever in danger from the hook anyway lol
