  1. you're not hard to please just expect everything to be right first time, and brought out quickly.
  2. what does 'rapidly expanding line' mean to you? Personally, I would have thought a few tools a year at most (especially when looking at the 20V line for reference). I guess this is the crux of the matter.
  3. C'mon Tug, one for the English! What's your question?
  4. Metabo has one coming, and AEG (Aussie Rigid) already has one out.
  5. ^^ that's what I thought. I don't think everyone appreciates how much work goes into creating new tools that are job site ready. The opportunity I think that has gone begging (but probably won't forever) is a 2 x 54V table saw. I'm also disappointed (and I expect many of you are too) that Dewalt are releasing new tools overseas and the US has to wait longer for them...
  6. Sometimes batteries even claim their total size (Watt hours) by multiplying the Ah and the MAX Voltage!!!! That is even worse.
  7. Should be the other way around. Worldwide, all should be forced to market nominal voltage. 10.8V, 18V, 21.6V, 36V, 50.4V, 54V, 72V. Multiples of 3.6V. Everything else is marketing bullshit.
  8. I think that because Milwaukee produce 30 new tools a year *innovation!* that people expect everyone else should. Well you heard it here first, not every company wants to be Milwaukee. Do you know how many impact drivers Metabo has made on it's current lineup? 1 How many nailers have Bosh produced? 1. Metabo: 0. Makita: 1. I get that people WANT stuff, but there's a difference between requesting/hoping and demanding/expecting. Edit: And by the way, I'd take Dewalts 16Ga nailer over everyone else's put together (except Hitachi, who I haven't tried yet).
  9. Give it 8 hours (from now). If no question posed by then, anyone can jump in with one.
  10. wow. it felt like a good driver, but it's not gonna beat the top brands in torque right now.
  11. Follow up: It's all about wording. If you say, I hope Dewalt bring out more tools that run on 2 x FV batteries, I agree. If you sook that they haven't, I think that's just whining.
  12. I really don't get people's attitudes on this. A manufacturer creates a new tool that does what is claims it will do. They make no promises about future tools being made the same. Buyers PRESUME that more similar tools will be released and get salty 11 months later when they haven't. If you don't want a saw that needs two batteries to run, don't buy it. If you don't want an electric adapter, don't buy it. The way I see it, Dewalt tried to make something awesome and someone will always find a way to make them seem like bad guys.
  13. Ha! Ryobi claiming 270 Nm in Australia! lol http://www.ryobi.com.au/products/details/18v-one-brushless-impact-driver
  14. Wow that's crazy. I seriously doubt they can match those claims! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Correct Makita fan. You're up. Please don't take this the wrong way, but you didn't google them did you? I wasn't expecting model numbers .... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The three highest torque 18V/20V impact drivers on the market claim 203 Nm, 205 Nm and 207 Nm (for reference, 205 Nm is 1825 in-lbs). Name the three manufacturers correctly: 203 Nm - 205 Nm - 207 Nm -
  17. hmm. I'll be keen to fact check this korno, but if it wasn't Makita then it must be Panasonic.
  18. Hmmm, i was thinking much too small. I was presuming (very incorrectly) that the uptake in metal chucks only happened in the Li-Ion age. Pls excuse my ignorance. As you should all have known (based on the questioner and his profile pic), the first brand to introduce BL motors to the general public was Makita. 2004 I believe....
  19. Nope, it was Makita. Taking too long. You have a go kornomaniac.
  20. None of the above. Though i obviously don't know so much about the American brand Ridgid
  21. i agree ^^. And it doesn't need to be more powerful, it already matches a 1500W electric saw!
  22. I can tell you with certainty that they do have a BL impact driver brewing! Next question: Who was the last of the big brands to bring out a cordless drill with metal chuck?
  23. That'd be Metabo only I believe.
  24. We saw one in Germany, but as far as I could see, it was only 36V. But could have been an early model that was still being tested.
  25. so the regular sidewinder saw (with left blade) isn't an ergonomic for you (as a right hander)?
