  1. So with this it appears I'll be making this top into a rolling outfeed assembly table. I'm planning on moving my Rolair compressor to this table and possibly adding some small part / tool drawers to include moving my Dado stack and other saw accessories right to the table. I have to size it accordingly as this spring will probably see me moving outside so I need to fit it out a narrow bulk head. It's funny when you sit down and start a new project and watch it flourish into something different. What was going to be 2x4 doubles up legs will end up being my second piece of shop furniture. My mobile sanding / assembly table is doing great but it's very narrow and tall so assembly isn't working out the way I wanted it to. This will be so what smaller but wider, ah......never plan anything, fly by the seat of your pants. My personal motto.
  2. Never have Protool! I had to look it up just to figure out what it was

  10. Welcome to the forum Scott, glad to have you here
  11. Wow. This is a really red posting. This is some serious brand loyalty. I hope Milwaukee is watching you guys.
  12. Now building an outfeed table for my Sawstop. I got the top done, 1" sheathing that I edge banded with pine, glue and finish nails. I'll be adding a table runner and legs with wheels sometime this week,
  13. As far as IHL goes, I didn't pay any fees coming into the USA. All told I'm out $143 USD including shipping. And lest not forget a brushless DCF620 drywall screwdriver and a 5.0ah battery. Not a bad haul. Took about 9 days from purchase to delivery this afternoon. Glad I took the day off! I get to play!
  14. Well it wasn't today's purchase but it just got here right from Canada.....
  15. I love them WigWag and ,y Jets too. I buy a bunch of Jets every year around BF and save half, the Besseys are new and they're great
  16. I had my Mother and Father in Law over for din ear this weekend. My mother in law is really cool and loves the shop and I promised to show her how to use the lathe. She looked over at the rack of clamps and asked me why I had so many....
  17. Yeah I've actually got three 55" tracks, one with the LR32 hole pattern and a 118" track. I ended up getting the short HKC track with the angle set ups. I also have the MFT3 table with the cross cut rail for cross cutting with my Tracksaw.
  18. Meh. It's a day drive Jimbo. Plus we've got the ocean and Mountains!
  19. Thanks Jimbo. If any of you guys are in NH give me a shout! I'll let you play with 'em. Lifetime tools especially with the brushless motors coming to the tools.
  20. No comparison in price Comp and I'm not trying to sell the tools to the forum members. I won't give my opinion on either tool system, I have an opinion of Milwaukee but I am just showing and telling mine. Everybody has a tool line they like. I've got a lot of lines I like So you are right it does cost some cash but I think the quality is pretty darn good for what you pay for it. Especially when you look at Mafell. I dropped $340 for the saw, T Loc and a rail. The Milwaukee Fuel 6-1/2 is 299 with a soft bag and a battery. Now truthfully I didn't get batteries but I can buy 5.2ah batteries for $65 retail (though I've got two 4.2ah right now) if I need them. If you want to see the capabilities of the saw watch the video. It's part of the whole ecosystem to even include dust control. Pretty cool stuff all around!
  21. Heres Mafells saw which is arguably the better of the two but when you pick your jaw off of the floor from the price..... http://timberwolftools.com/tools/mafell/MAF-KSS300.html You could get a really decent table saw!
  22. Jimbo the saw can be used as a circular saw on its own, plunging right in and it can also run on the standard tracks but where it shines is on the compact tracks that have bevel markers to make perfect cross cuts with exact precision. What's really nice about the saw is the riving knife built into the blade guard. Really neat stuff, Great for deck builders and flor installers etc where this is really going to pay off as this summer it's going to see a lot of use. Here's a video from Peter Parfitt showing what it can do...http://youtu.be/6280QX1QLBE
