  1. Sick! Wish dewalt would step up their game, even if they do a brushless I doubt its gonna have nearly the capacity.
  2. To expand on this the top of a car window works great as well. Just roll down your window until the top edge is exposed then sharpen away.
  3. Here is my toolbag just cause we all love tools. ha As you can see Im a fan of German stuff.
  4. ha I use my 20v as a hammer all the time, they hold up great. Yes im serious I abuse the crap out of my tools. Here is a family picture the other day at work I have more but It was what I needed at the time at that job. As for as borrowing me and the coworkers borrow tools all the time. I never abuse their stuff only my stuff and they do the same, everyone is trustworthy and no one has had a tool come up missing or damaged yet.
  5. I personally would run it, I guarantee you dewalt put a fuse in the extractor and at worst your going to do is have to buy a new fuse. Best bet is to buy it somewhere with a good return policy in case it wouldnt work. Like your saying I seriously doubt the port is limted to 440w thats only 4 amps at 110v which is very low for power tools. Im guessing its a typo/error on dewalts part.
  6. If you every use the dewalt with the led light it will spoil you quickly.
  7. The three speed dewalt gets everywhere the standard does. It is shorter and doesnt have the chuck sticking out but the standard is every bit as wide. Key to tight areas on either one is a 12v system or longer bits.
  8. I use the magnet way more than the hook its worth the extra investment.
  9. Yea cant stop mine either.
  10. That doesnt mean much cells wont take as high of a charge as they age in my experience. So brand new it will be reading a higher voltage than after some use.
  11. You cant go wrong with either one, I own the dewalt and a co worker has the fuel stuff. I also own the 12v fuel stuff, I rather the dewalt just for feel and ease of use in the 20v line. If the free saw is a fuel then I would probably lean that way though if its the brushed saw then I would go with the dewalt.
  12. Didnt look like he had any choice but to jump that fire was starting to get unbearably hot where he was I imagine.
  13. Im sure dewalt has a fuse in the system to protect the tool. Worse that will happen is you will throw a breaker or blow a fuse. Anyway im not sure since im in the U.S. but a quick google search shows 2200w at 240v so you should have 1100w at 110v I would think and not the 440w your saying.

    EDC Knife

I switch up a lot, currently I have a zero tolerance 0561 in my pocket with a leatherman charge TTi. Im kinda a knife collector as well, own benchmades, spydercos, mircotechs, zero tolerance, etc.. Pretty much all the well known production knife companies. Never got into custom stuff but may one day.
  15. I have a IR2135Ti as well but I would love to get rid of the cord. It is the only reason I havent bought the m18 yet.
  16. Man you did a great job, huge improvement.
  17. Oh good point I forgot about that one.
  18. Nope new tools of mine dont get any special treatment, I put my dewalt thru hell and they look like it but every single on functions like new.
  19. Speaking of new brushless tools has anyone heard anything about a brushless 20v max high torque 1/2" impact wrench? I have to admit the M18 one looks really tempting. The current 20v offering is very weak, I know about the mac one but its still weak compared to the m18 and the IR 20v model. Really dont want to get into another battery platform but if dewalt doesnt step it up soon I may have to get the fuel model.

    M12 Impact

I have one and its awesome, the only time I get my 20v dewalt impact out is the the bigger lag bolts the m12 just doesnt have the balls for.
  21. I have both lines, dewalt 20v tools are better tools for my uses than the m18 line. The m12 line blows dewalt 12v out the water however. I have in 20v max, dcd985 hammer drill, dcd995 hammer drill, oscillating tool, saw zall, skil saw, flashlight, 20v 3 speed brushless impact driver, the single speed brushless impact driver, the brushed impact driver, grinder, etc. In the m12 line I have the fuel impact driver, the 3 led work light, bandsaw (best tool in the line imo), rotary tool, 3/8" ratchet, and palm nailer. I use both lines and love both and have no regrets.
  22. Im not a engineer but have taken many college mechanical engineering classes. Honestly though this is just simple basic physics problem. Just draw a basic free body diagram for the difference size anvils and it becomes apparent.
