  1. My Home Depot had the 41 inch husky toolbox for $498. It was for the top and bottom too. I don't know if it applies to all stores or not but if you need a bigger box it definitely gets my vote. I liked it way more than the smaller Milwaukee toolbox which is the same price.

These pictures are pretty impressive, also the packaging and rails are very nice.

You can buy the rails by themselves too. It's only $4 for a 15 inch rail but you have to get the clips separately. They are $9 for 25 clips.

Nah, I just want to see if they are as long as the Pittsburgh's. If they are I'll probably buy a set. Thank you a ton.

    The 17 is 10 1/4 inches, the 14 is 8 3/4 inches and the 10 is 6 3/4 inches.

Hey do you think you could measure the length of the 10, 14 and 17 mm wrenches?

I'll measure them in the morning. Do you want me to compare them to a regular wrench too?

  5. My long combo wrenches made it in and so far I'm impressed. I figured I would test out the open end with the no slip design to see how it worked and man do they grip. They didn't slip any and it kept gripping until the head snapped off the bolt. I ordered a few sizes of flex ratcheting wrenches too. They should be here next week.

They are about 15-20 bucks. I would need at least four. I might buy one and see how well it holds up and go from there.

Tekton makes a similar version for $11 for the 1/2 drive.

I'll see if I can find some tonight in the disaster area that is my garage.

I doubt I can bring myself to spend the money, but the long combo wrenches (that the C-Man wrote a glowing review on) and the flex stubby ratcheting wrenches interest me...

I actually ordered a set of metric long combos this morning.

    Top section 19" x26.5" x5.75"

    Two small drawers: 17.5x11.75x3

    Medium drawer:25.5x17.5x3

    Larger drawer: 25.5x17.5x6

    All pretty rough measurements

Thanks man! I'll check and see what the drawer dimensions are on my box and I'll see how they compare. I think I'll go with the Napa cart when I do get one. I plan on getting some wrenches, socket organizers and hopefully the m18 stick light this week so it might have to wait a bit.

What do you mean by do angles? Like it has degree markings on the head for when you do head bolts?

It reads how many degrees you have turned the bolt. Say you set it to 100 degrees it will vibrate and usually they have leds that light up once you hit the target.

The reviews turned me away from this torque wrench when I was looking for one a few years ago and I wound up getting the torque wrench that is one step above this one. I will probably get one that can do angles for torque to yield bolts sometime soon though. They are explensive though, around $300 and up.

Do it. You'll probably want to get different drawer liners though. Also it was a pain to assemble by myself, I would recommend having a buddy there to help you.

Can you post some pictures of what the top section looks like. Are there holes for pry bars and such? What are the dimensions for the drawers.

  12. We don't have a Menards yet but one will be open in the fall though. They said it will be 167,000 square feet. I got on at a local dealer so I might get one fairly soon. I am leaning towards the Napa one since the nearest harbor freight is over an hour away.

Anyone have any experience with charging your A/C unit in the car with one of these products. The one I'm thinking about is called "AC Pro" and it costs about 35 bucks. They want 124 dollars at the shop so it's quite a savings. The question is does it do a comparable job?  I think I'm going to give it a try just to see.

I call it crap in a can. It is full of stuff your AC system might not need. It is full of oil and seal sweller too. I would not reccomend using it.

Thanks man! Wifey just told me this is my BDay present from her so I didn't have to use any of my funds! ???? Love that Woman! Lol!

You are going to love it Mike. Do you have any 3/8 impact sockets? This thing should have enough power to split chrome sockets.

Thanks for bringing this post to life again man! Sweet looking rides there, i have no idea what i'm looking at on the white car except that it's old, beautiful, and well taken care of

I want to say it is a 66 or 67 charger and a good looking one at that.

I have that same HF ratchet. I like it, I just need to do some surgery on it to keep the head from flopping around quite so easily.

Hey Nicholas, do you know if you could get a BJP1 ball joint press through he SEP program?

No you can't get the press. The snap on student program isn't as good as Matco. nearly everything is discounted with them. With snap on stuff such as the flank drive plus wrenches aren't available along with a lot of specialty tools.

  17. The other day I took apart my new snap on 3/8 long flex head ratchet and a similar Pittsburgh pro ratchet and while I was at it I figured I would take some pictures comparing the two. Neither of these ratchets have been used a bunch as I bought the snap on ratchet a little over a month ago and the HF ratchet is more of a beater ratchet. The snap on ratchet has an 80 tooth mechanism with 7 teeth engaging in either direction and the Pittsburgh has a 72 tooth mechanism with 5 teeth engaging in either direction. The chrome is better on the snap on and it seems to be less likely to scratch too. The Pittsburgh is a little bit longer and it has a standard round grip where the snap on is shaped to fit your hand better. By the way I did not pay full price for the snap on ratchet, I used my student discount and got it for half price. There is no way I would pay $145 for this ratchet. Here are some pictures comparing the two.

They're awkward because they want to twist...but I can see where it would be really handy. I get by with regular ratchets, U-joints and extensions but I'm also not a professional mechanic.

At the time it was my only longer ratchet and like you said it always wanted to twist. I've gotten by without it fine so far.

Hmmmm, I wonder if the 18v right angle 2667 would accept the 5 amp battery that comes with the M18 fuel? Home depot shows it maxing out at the 4ah version, but maybe?

It will. I have the 3/8 right angle impact and it will work with no problem.
