That is why I have never bought one. I rarely have a nut or bolt in the open besides drain plugs but for everything else it is just too big.'

I think of it like an engine in a car. The milwaukee gets the highest peak torque but the dewalt gets more torque throughout the rpm range. That is how I think of it

The grinder showed up just a minute ago. I can't imagine how Harold feels.
-
Good thing you were there or the person might not have made it.
-
Natural selection at its finest there.

I think that it is fun. The high school metalworking class here has some good sized jet lathes that I have used. My grandpa also has a smaller benchtop one that he uses to make things for his truck or something small. He is the kind of person to make something before he buys it.

Me too DR me too. Big honk in' pole barn and some land.of course now that I'm dreaming I would have several acres, some horses. In the barn a whole section just for a lathe (which by the way I don't know how to use yet) and for making joinery. Man I have to take some classes. I'm self taught on everything thus far!
Lathes aren't too hard to learn how to use. I learned how when I was 15.

Oh this causes cancer in California, good thing we aren't in California.
We actually had a kid cut off two fingers on a miter saw before. He just cut one off but then he went to show the shop teacher, he asked how did you do that. The kid said like this, and cut off another finger just to show him how.

Makita had brushless production/assembly tools out on 2003. Panasonic might have been the first to put them into regular cordless tools though but I don't know.
-
You could go cordless with either senco or dewalt since you have the multitool kit.
-
There is a good sized one in our class. It takes a good 10 seconds to stop turning. We have had some close calls but nothing beyond a minor cut or bruise.
-
Really? We can use metal lathes here.
-
I think that that would be perfect for a high school woodworking class. For only $60 it seems well worth it.
-
Look at his post on the if I lost all my tools article. A lot of his stuff is dewalt.
-
One guy has the older big cordless makita hammer drill. There is a place that rebuilds them here for about $60 with lithium cells so I'm not the only one here with lithium.
-
Meanwhile everyone here still uses 18 volt dewalt.

It was bound to happen.

We would like it done in time for senior prom in late April. The interior is almost ready to go to the upholstery guy. The front end is almost done except for paint. The engine and transmission won't take more than two weeks. I think we should get it done in time. If we don't I will take his corvette like I did last year.

I probably have around 15

Here is what it looks like with the doors on. We also did some work to the front end and test fit everything. It all looks like it will work out good. That is dust on the door if anyone was wondering. If you look in the second picture you can see where we had to grind the latch down so it would engage. In the third picture we had to make a spacer so the latch would fully engage. You can adjust that piece so the door can fit tight.

I finally found someone with more ratchets than I do.
-
Festool doesn't make those lol.

I have a few wrenches and a ratchet.

If he doesn't like it don't go to the website. It isn't that hard to figure out.

Guess that would work. I certainly wouldn't expect it.
