  1. Why am I just finding this now? You have a talent Mr. Regopit. I love seeing pros at work.
  2. Since this is my 100th post I thought I would commemorate the moment with some pictures of a basement project that I am wrapping up. I am a one man show with the exception of a very talented painter/drywall guy. This project kept me busy for just over a year. I have a full time job during the day… so I worked this one on weekends and the occasional weeknight… call it moonlighting, burning the candle at both ends, whatever but I like using tools... Here are a couple shots during the framing and electrical rough-in During boarding During electrical trim-out I'll show the bar and bath in the next few posts.
  3. I only use the clips when storing the cases in my truck or garage. Even then it is only when I put the 100 on top of the 200 or 300. If I do pick them up together I grab the case's side handles.
  4. I instantly went to impact sockets and an impact driver.
  5. Miami Vice... My new hit show!

    Install truck

I feel you. I got a stern talking to about storing chisels. Even with a guard installed they have to be stored point side down.

and my trusty Circular Saw Don't let OSHA see this...
  8. Harold is one of the reasons I keep coming here.
  9. Calm down and just stare at the flowers.
  10. I just hit 90 posts. That's a record for me. I didn't even know I could come up with 90 thoughts.
  11. That is exactly what I did a few years ago for a basement job and still use it today. The HD sells these for 4X the cost.
  12. DR - your right. Most of my carpentry tools are Dewalt, larger corded tools and 18V stuff. My specialty tools for plumbing are Milwaukee... PVC cutter, copper cutter, inspection cam... Now this has spilled over into a large collection of m12 tools....
  13. I actually would prefer a smaller blade to get into tighter spaces. If they can package a larger 5-3/8" blade but still get into smaller areas that a 3-3/8" saw can reach then I am still all for it.

    Router

I have a couple of routers including the Dewalt that regopit showed. It is an awesome versatile router. I often use the plunge base because it has a dust port attachment. One thing to know about routers is they are only as good as the bits you use. Don't cheap out on the bits!
  15. I would get my wife a Dewalt hair dryer.
  16. I turn my head for one second and this is what you do to my Forum! I fear change. I still run 18V nicad dewalt batteries, I still have a flip phone, my car has a cassette player and Miami Vice is my new favorite show.
  17. I have never known anything but copper and I have used it for years after years. I see the advantage to PEX. Cheap to buy, cheap (quick) to install. I have never used PEX yet but I am tempted.
  18. Slow down guys, don't get carried away. I love all my tools just the same.
  19. Those Rams are very nice trucks.
  20. And that's why I don't touch other people's phones!
  21. Looking forward to this one. I just tallied my cordless tools and my m12 collection caught up to my Dewalt 18V collection.
  22. Any stand is worth it. I hate cutting trim while kneeling on the floor. It kills your knees and back. I have the heavy duty dewalt stand and it has been a back saver. I also have the smaller version too. Both are strong and sturdy stands. I also like how they support long material with the extensions.
  23. That damn m12 fuel impact is calling my name. It almost has the same power as my Dewalt 18V impact.
