  1. Took the 4Runner out today. On our way up to the cabin, hit a detour. About 15 miles of mellow trail. Started in the desert, ended in the snow. Only in California. My brother-in-law & his girlfriend (white Chevy) were camping in the area and headed home. We planned the trip so we would intercept midway. Didn't bring my camp stove, otherwise lunch would of been perfect.
  2. Cement gets harder as it ages. Did you try to dig it up first? I would guess there was an unlicensed shed or deck the PO removed?
  3. Tis the time of year vacations are needed. True friends can come to blows and drink a beer with each other the following week.
  4. I'm not sure if tools are in the budget this year but I could use a torque wrench. Guess I should of asked Santa- But I'm honestly having more fun building presents this year. I started this season bummed because money's tight but i have managed to create some awesome gifts. The little girl next door left an xmas card in our doorstep a few days ago with some candy attached. I returned the favor today and with inspiration from my wife's robot gift, I decorated the candy jar like a robot sorry no pics.
  5. She laughed at it this morning. I don't think she understands how difficult it's going to be to open
  6. Thanks Jimbo, it turned out better then I expected. Congrats on the Ridgid tool giveaway! Some seriously awesome gear.
  7. I'm liking that Ridgid job max thing.
  8. King of last minute!! I finished off my wife's gifts.. Almost. I'll pick up some bubble bath and slip it in her stalking before Christmas morning. I printed out some massage coupons.. With our labradoodles face
  9. Clog about 25' down. Had the guy replace some rusted plumbing while he was down there. $550 later -ouch- I should quit school and become a plumber. Being so close to the holiday, already working last minute on gifts. I didn't have time to mess around and rent a snake. Those t-pons destroy plumbing, of course the woman never own up.
  10. It was a lot of fun brother. Making gifts is the best! Check out this wrapping job my wife did for my gift.
  11. The shoe shine box came out great! I'm impressed. Need to trim my wife's gift, hopefully I'll have time tomorrow. Otherwise I think she is really going to enjoy it.
  12. A few quick coats of spray lacquer
  13. So this happened tonight. Old pipes
  14. Making progress on homemade gifts. I decided to try and make the shoe shine box look old. Spray paint-sand-seal Honestly not the greatest look but it's too late to turn back now Next seal with some of that gay sounding mod poge stuff Coated the box And my wife's present. I couldn't decide on a photo so one side is her and her mother from our weeding and the other side is a collection of photos from our adventures
  15. Bro'ed up the 4Runner today with some sticker bling. 1st to go on was obviously TIA Then a few from some part suppliers Had a big open spot so I had to rep my old ship Need more stickers before I am full bro, but I'm getting there
  16. Eric saving Dan https://www.facebook.com/613454938792665/videos/621995301271962/
  17. Last minute gifts coming together. Shoe shine box for father-in-law. His golden retriever passed away and he... For some reason believes the dog came back as a crow. Maybe a little craze but he just got over Cancer so he gets a pass. I used photo transfer to 'paint' logos and the dog on the box. Test fit Paint with mat base The photo too Place and flatten Let dry for 8 hours then wet paper and rub off paper Leaves photo behind Next thing to do, apply finish
  18. Like a boss- UPS delivered her gift a day earlier;)
  19. Congratulations Comp56 on that new drill. Congrats to all the TIA winners, and merry Christmas to all.
  20. Deep fried turkey, smoked ham, beer butt chicken... We go overboard. Sometimes we do a Mexican Christmas but this year I made lasagna and we will serve it with meatballs for appetizer, pesto bread shaped like a Christmas tree, hot links, mac & cheese, beer butt chicken, and salad. I love to cook and leave the more traditional meals for the in laws.
  21. Turkey Wellington.. It's a thanksgiving dinner in a sandwich
  22. I decided on a gift, very last minute
  23. I took the 4Runner up a local trail, to the top of some cellphone towers. It did great, although I noticed an oil leak from the t-case rear drive shaft seal. Guess that's the next fix. It was nice and sunny going up the mountain then on top the fog rolled in. My blue 4Runner, brother-in-law with the red YJ, father-in-law white jeep trailhawk trim.7B74EFB9-C861-40FF-89F9-D15E2B6C6962.MOV
  24. She does like those toms shoes. For every pair sold, they give a pair to the needy. My budget sucks this year. Living off credit cards till GI bill kicks in next year. I'll be a happy man once I finish school and can work full time again.
