I need not buy them, they are obviusly shipped with the radio
hence I have three tough system radios
I would not call it external tranformer, that is missleading
same priciple as chargers or otheres
the plug is country specific, 110V plug, internally ttransforms down to the required volage
voltage
sometimes it is 12v, 9,6v or 6v
cheers

I will try to do a research for you at one of the worlds largest technical museums
Can´t promise success

no automatic detection !
internal power, I think is 12V
the supplied charger transforms it down to that voltage
but there are physicly three "power supplies"
I have all thre
a) USA plug
UK three pin plug
3) EU (German ) 2 pin plug

The thoughsystem radio is one of the best radios on the market at this time
to consider:
are you moving towards flexvolt system ?
this radio can´t charge flexvolt batteries
2) therefore an option is also the flexvolt radio/charger dcr025
they are the same price !
plus promotion going on right now !
cheers

don´t you mean the dewalt 6,0Ah batteries in this thread ?
they are just "around the corner" !
anyone know this date ?
also the flexvolt 9,0Ah batteries to be released when ?
what I know for sure is the abbreviation
= x
so a x2 kit willhabe 2x flexvolt battery with 9,0ah
cheers

Flexvolt Radio
DCR025
available 1. Nov 2016
approx. $199
The DCR025 is designed to be the most versatile Jobsite Radio Charger on the market. The unit is able to run off and charge DEWALT slide pack battery packs including 20V and FLEXVOLT packs at 3 AMPs when plugged into an AC outlet. The unit is designed to include woofers, tweeters and air ports to provide clear and rich sound at all volume levels. An over sized device storage box protects devices from worksite conditions and includes an Aux and 2.1 AMP USB charging port for convenient device charging. 2 AC Power outlets on the side of the unit allows you to plug in additional tools or chargers without occupying additional outlets on the wall. AVRCP (Audio Visual Remote Control Protocol) allows you to control your device from the radio interface so you can keep the device in a safe place and skip to the next song or hit replay on the radio interface.

I have the NEW flexvolt brochure that is available at the Demos at HD as a handout
(when a rep is onsite)
on the back page of this brochure further flexvolt tools are listed with "coming soon"
as an example
dch481x2 Rotary Hammer
dcbl770x1 blower
both state "includes flexvolt 9.0 ah battery"
so we can also conclude that the 9.0Ah batteries contained in kits is "X"
x1 = 1x 9.0ah battery
x2 = 2x 9.0ah battery
also listed is the tracksaw, as kit it will ship with 6.0ah battery ( dcs520T1)
I also received a free battery with each flexvolt purchase !
this is part of the onsite promotion
cheers

chain saw, trimmer, blower and track saw

If I was to guess I would think they were worried about price points on the new system, and overwhelming people with the need for a monstrous amount of batteries off the hop. I don't really know though. The hybrid option adds a decent chunk to the cost from my understanding; maybe easier to sink that cost into an expensive mitre to start with. Just guesswork on my part of course.
DCS778 also in Germany
larger cutting capacity
max. cutting specs
90/90 deg = 305x85 mm (270x60mm in comparision to DCS777)
90/45 deg = 305x58 mm
45/90 deg = 215x85 mm
45/45 = 215x 30 mm
sawblade is 250x 30
17,2 kg compared to 14kg of DCS777
cheers

ALL ebrochures are public
posted on the internet / web
Most European countries have one on their own
There are always 2-4 per year (e.g. Q1, and Q4)
UK is behind; just called them, they will send me a pdf version
here is the link for the Netherlands Version
http://www.dewalt.nl/services/DeWALT-Brochures.html
page 16 shows the NEW TSTAK Boxes, as well as two new Toughsystem items (like walll mount)
list price is always how, normally market price is 20% lower or even more !
cheers
