  1. Just thought I would share this as I picked it up after work today!!!! Can't wait to put it through its paces!!!
  2. this is the response I read on Facebook!! "A 305mm mitre saw which you can run on cordless, 240v and 110V #gamechanger"
  3. I have just been on Dewalt UK's Facebook page and read their response to a comment to the 305mm mitre saw. The response can be read two way in my opinion!! I read it to say that the adaptor to plug the saw in to the mains can be used on both 110v and 240v !!! this would be absolutely fantastic if that is the true!!! but it can also just mean that there are going to be two adaptors for the saw, one for 110v and one for 240v. Can anyone clarify this for me?

    60V Expansion

If even half of your two lists come out over here in the UK I am going to have no money and my other half will kill me!! I am already putting money away for September when the circ saw and table saw come out!!! Then the 12" 120v mitre saw in February. And defiantly the 120v extractor from your list when it comes out if it is a class M!!

    Dewalt

where did you get this picture from???? is it real???? I have tried looking for the DS450 but Google keeps coming up with what I know as the DS400 with the original trolley. This one looks like its light duty compared to the other one!!
  7. Craigh9916 I don't agree with you there! In this post Kenneth Denmark has already confirmed that we are getting the 12" mitre saw and it will have the converter as well in February. In both 240v (well he says 220v) and 110v. The smaller 60v one is coming September. And how can you say that the UK building industry is not a big enough market? Considering that Dewalt are aiming these tools at trades men and not the average Joe doing a bit of DIY!!! All UK building sites should be using 110v. I know that a lot of trades men may be working on domestics and use 240v but commercially they are all on 110v. Dewalt do nearly all of their tools in 110v and 240v, or I would not be able to buy tools from them to do my job. As for chargers, in my experience batteries are the first thing to be stolen on a building site so I never charge them on site. I use a charging locker provided on site in the cabins or I take them home and charge them, both are 240v supply.
  8. Just seen this while searching for some info on the new flexvolt dust extractor. https://www.cnspowertools.co.uk/dewalt-dcv584l-flxvolt-dust-extractor-18v-to-54v-body-only and noticed that it has a class L filter on it! Can anyone tell me if Dewalt are going to do a class M version of this extractor???? In my line of work I have to use class M filtered extractors due to wood dust being considered a serious risk. Class L extractors are only good for general or mixed dust use. As outlined by this document from HSE if anyone would like to have a read / snooze http://www.iosh.co.uk/~/media/Documents/Networks/Group/Construction/HSE_Discussion_Document_On-tool_extraction_in_Construction_Industry.ashx I would not be able to go fully cordless with the DCV584L. The only way I would be able to is if I was to use my DWV902M with the DCB1800 Portable Power Station!! this set up you are looking at around £1000.00 and that's before you attach a tool to it!!! Plus what kind of run time would I get using the DWV902M on the power station? There are times I use my extractor all day with my Track/plunge saw. With the power station taking up 4 batteries at once I am going to have to have a hell of a lot of them to keep me going. Especially when the cordless plunge saw comes out!! I cant find anything about the power station coming to the UK!! Anyone know if it will or not?
  9. Is the fixed mitre saw coming to the UK as well? DEWALT DHS716AT2 I sore this on amazon.com https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DHS716AT2-FLEXVOLT-2-Battery-Fixed/dp/B01HBXHI6W/ref=sr_1_3?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1467994353&sr=1-3&keywords=Dewalt+FlexVolt+Miter+Saw Didn't know that there was a mixed version as well!! The other one I want to know about is the plunge/track saw DCS520?? is that coming in February as well?????? AND how about the DCS575 circular saw?? is both the versions of this going to be available in the UK?? Normal base and track base???? Why is there so many variations of these tools that have not been announced officially or on Dewalt's web sites USA of UK. Why not just put the list out there and LET US DROOL over what's to come!! I just cant decide which one to buy first.
  10. Is the 12" mitre saw going to be sold over here in the UK?? the link only shows the smaller 60v mitre saw. And will it have the adapter for 110volt on sites???
  11. Hi locksmithmatt Have you had a chance to us the UK model much yet??? How does it feel when cutting larger timber?? How does the plastic side handles feel?? Sturdy?? What is the mitre angle lock in like compared to the button and leaver on other Dewalt saws? I have been told my one will be in the shop on the 9th so I have only a few days to go!! But I am getting itchy waiting!!!!!!!
  12. Hi Mr. Yellow The mitre saw looks great!!! I thought that this saw was the American version??? Have you had this shipped in or is this one available were you live?? And can I ask are you on 18v XR or 20v XR batteries?? Again I thought that 20v was only the US?
  13. Has anyone in the UK got any info on this cooler bag??? Is it going to be available over here and when?? or is it a US thing?? If its a US thing, does anyone know a website that will ship FOUR of them over here??
  14. Does anyone know if the planer has one or two blades on the cutting barrel?? I have seen the Bosch cordless planner has only one, and I am pretty sure that the Makita is the same! I would have thought the Dewalt would be the same, putting less stress on the motor.
  15. Just thought I would attach both pictures I was looking at
  16. Just thought that I would say XR on the housing, in the UK at least, doesn't necessarily mean that it is brushless! I have the jig saw and circular saw which both are not brushless and both have XR on the housing!!! I am not saying that the mitre saw is or is not a brushless motor, just that XR on the housing doesn't mean brushless. On another note I have just been comparing pictures of the USA and European versions of the mitre saw!!! Warning!!! Bit of a rant coming!!!! I have to say that I really don't like the visual / physical changes they have made to the European version!!!! What is to be gained by changing the side carry handles to what looks to be black plastic?? WHY change it??? This can't be stronger than having them cast in to the body like the USA version. Plus it only adds to the parts list, for manufacturing and replacement parts for the end user!!!! Why change the angle plate for mitring from the standard silver ones that are on just about every mitre saw I have ever owned!!! why change to the black one?? Why change the locking handle on the front of the bed to one that is very similar to what the Makita (Blue POO) mitre saws have?? Dewalt has always had the thumb button and locking lever for as long as I can remember, and the USA version has it!! Plus the plate seems to have locating holes instead of the indented plate for most used angles!! Again, WHY change it?? The locking lever for locking in bevel angles has also changed!! as well as the angle indicator (again to the black plate) its big brother the DW780 has the same as the USA version. BUT the European version has what looks to be a backwards step to the DW718. Surly the bright Yellow plate with black text is easier to see in low light than a black plate with white text, this goes for both the mitre and bevel angle plates!! AGAIN WHY??? The hole bed of the saw is more angular on the European version!! what was wrong with the shape of the USA version? I cant see what changing this would gain???Can any one answer any on these questions??
  17. I am really liking what you have done with the wheels on the extractor!! The angle of the pic is just off so I cant tell for sure if that little black bit sticking out is a valve or not??? Are they air filled or solid rubber???
  18. Could you elaborate on the different laws we have in Europe?? What would Dewalt need to change to bring the saw over here? I almost bought one from EBay from someone that had shipped a few over from the USA. He was using it with his 18v batteries!! But I got cold feet and didn't buy it because Dewalt would not touch it if it broke as it is not a European model. Plus I could not get parts for it!!!
  19. I like the web site you got the pictures of the tough system tote from Mr. Yellow!! There is loads of Dewalt gear I have not seen before on there!! Like the new tool belt pouches!!
  20. I had not seen the organizer box before !! I like that as well !! by the fact that rossi7x is in the UK I am hopeful that it will be released over here soon! I would like to know how people get involved with Dewalt on that level?? I would love to play around with new products before anyone else!!!
  21. Thanks Mr. Yellow I thought you might come up with the goods!!! Have you seen the video?? Is that rossi7x 's van??
  22. no it is totally open with no lid! Has a rigid metal handle like a tool bag across the middle. Its not like the T stak box with the clear lid.
  23. Has anyone seen or know anything about the new Tough system box I have just seen on Dewalt's facebook page??? Basically there is a video on Dewalt UK showing off the new Bluetooth batteries!! but if you go through the video to 1:33 you will see the tote like toughsystem box!! The van on the video I think belongs to rossi7x one of the TIA members?!?!?! If this is true then rossi7x if you read this do you have a model number for the box or any other info about the box? I think I remember reading somewhere on here a mention to a new tote/open top tough system box on the way!! But I cant for the life of me remember where it is on the forum! Thanks
  24. I had the Paslode IM65A not too long ago until it was stolen!! which is why I have the older Dewalt, as seen it the pictures. I got it to put me on until the DCN660 came out!!! Having used all three now, I don't think that there is much difference between the older Dewalt and the new in size as you can tell from the pictures it is only slightly smaller. I am sure I read somewhere that Dewalt had reduced the weight by around a 1 kg??? I cant feel it if it is!! It is still a lot bigger and heavier than the Paslode. I have not fully used it on a job yet, but from playing around with it, it seems to put the nails in better then the old Dewalt and about the same as the Paslode. Hard woods are the real test, and the old Dewalt had problems sending the nails home in the likes of an oak nule post cap. The new one seems to be fine doing this. To be honest the weight does not bother me anymore because I am used to the older one. It has a better shaped grip and for some reason it doesn't feel as cumbersome or as top heavy. Hope this is some help.
  25. Sorry just seen the bad maths on my post!!! 75 units came in, 50 on back order and 25 had gone in the time it took for me to get to them!! I am putting it down to a typo
