  1. I got in on the insulated drivers, seeing that on another site, but was there also a deal on the nut drivers? Oh, I see them everywhere now, but looks like it's just metric?
  2. Fedex dropped this off at some point today. Inexpensive one, but it's a review item.
  3. I'm self-employed. Only employer I've had since high school was my father. When all's said and done, I could probably make more working for someone else, but I couldn't do it. Well, wouldn't. The autonomy is well worth it.
  4. I've had a couple of recent releases come with 1.5's - thermal imager and right angle impact, at least. I leave them in the things that get used infrequently, like the imager, the temp gun.
  5. I'd imagine they sell a lot more of these types of items as tool-only. I'm surprised they even offer it in kit form.
  6. Yes, it's surprising how even some carpenters I talk to about it around here, in the land of the sidewinder, don't understand nowadays why they've always been traditionally blade-right. Blade-left for a right-handed user is something that's only become common since the advent of cordless saws. I prefer blade-right, though I prefer using a worm-drive really.
  7. 7/16"-shank, like most all ship augers and self-feed bits are nowadays. Well, they've always mostly been 7/16", but having the hex with the ball detent is a more recent thing. Fits the Quik-Lok chuck that's on the M18 Hole Hawg and Super Hawg, and similar. Works like the 1/4" hex chuck of any impact driver.
  8. I've got to have drilled at least a few thousand holes with it - mostly with a 1"x18" ship auger - and it's happened maybe the half a dozen times. I didn't think of it as an issue at all, just put it down to aggressive, demanding use.
  9. 4-5/8" Big Hawg through wet 2x PT with my 2nd gen Fuel in low, no problem. That was a 10-sec hole. A 2-3/4" through regular framing with my M18 Hole Hawg is literally a 3-sec hole.
