  1. The only non-contractor-grade power tool that I can remember buying in my adult life was a HF grinder that a carpenter friend just kept raving on about how great it was. Tried it once, gave it to him. I can't think of a pro-grade power tool purchase that has ever let me down, and I've never had a one in for repairs. Buy once, cry once, as they say. 'Course, part of it is that almost all of my corded stuff is pre-China.
  2. Used it a little, works great. I really don't pay any attention to online tool reviews and such. Very few are done by actual tradesmen.
  3. Bosch sent me a couple of large 3-tooth TCT hole saws sized for recessed cans a while back, to try out. Just like the Big Hawgs, just not as deep, and with carbide teeth. I'm surprised they came out with those in the video. Obviously, a set wouldn't be $20, like those in the OP's post. The ones they sent me were awesome, but that $20 set looks like HF junk. Plus, there's no way I'm using a hole saw arbor without pins in this day and age.
  4. I'm with you on the Big Hawgs - nothing beats them or similar for larger holes in framing. I've also been using some Lenox One-Tooth ones that I got cheap off of Ebay recently. They're kind of crazy-aggressive, with just the one tooth, but no problem handling them in my M18 Hole Hawg. I despise bi-metal type hole saws.
  5. I've hit upon the Bostitch flooring stapler and the 800-lumen led work light at the 75% off level over the last couple of weeks. Last really great grab was the magnesium Skil worm drive at 75% off last summer. Flippers grab up most everything good nowadays.
  6. I use my Milwaukee M12 Fuel screwdriver daily. Love it, but it's not exactly light, nor really all that compact. Sometimes I think about trying one of these Makitas. There's also an impact version.
  7. Ants aren't much of a big deal up here, at all. I have had really tiny ones around the kitchen and bath sinks the last couple of weeks. I finally got around to spraying, and that's seems to have taken care of it, at least for now. Ticks, now that's a whole nother story - a couple on myself a day as of late.
  8. Few things I've gotten over the last couple weeks. Today, a couple rotary hammer bits came.
  9. I have a first-gen 2604 that I've used very heavily daily since it came out, and it's done it maybe a half a dozen times. I've always been able to loosen it by hand, but it took all my might. My 2706 One-Key has yet to do it, but from the sounds of it, it will at some point. Still, I'm pretty much totally cordless during my workday thanks to my Fuel tools, and that's the only issue I've had with any of them.
  10. Have the drain snake kit coming my way. Well, once they're ready to ship.
  11. The only tool I've had come so far with the rapid charger is my Super Hawg. It's what I keep in the truck, as it's noticeably quicker. I believe Milwaukee states that it's 40% faster than the standard one with the batteries that have the bolt, and 30% with ones that don't. I also have the 6-bay Rapid Charge Station, and have a ton of batteries, so normally just charge in that at home maybe once a week.
  12. Yet another light I missed earlier on. Looking forward to a complete list with expected pricing and ETA's.
  13. See a drywall cut-out tool (Rotozip style) and a drywall gun. Couple new lights. Nice!
  14. Yeah, impact wrenches make the most sense, by far. Supposedly new security features are coming in the fall, including tool lockout. Living out in the middle of nowhere, not a big deal to me, but might be for those on large construction sites, with all sorts coming and going all day.
  15. I hope that that's not including current tools that are going One-Key, as I just see the Sawzall is.
  16. It's been delayed a couple of times, but supposedly will be out soon.
  17. I'm seeing them through #nps16 on Twitter.
  18. Now that there's a pic, looks very substantial. I was originally thinking something for the homeowner - silly me!
  19. Supposedly 30 new Fuel tools coming. So far, I see there's an M18 transfer pump and a 7" polisher, neither of which do much for me. The miter saw, on the other hand, certainly does. Looks like a string trimmer, also - again, not my thing. Here's hoping for more contractor tools!
  20. Have had one for a couple of years now, no complaints - though, would love to see an update to it come out of the symposium. I've never needed more than one charged 4.0 to clean up after myself on the job with it, and it's dang handy to have for sucking a pull string through a conduit without needing 120v available.
  21. I've got this same new Fuel SDS. First cordless RH for me. It rocks. My corded SDS will probably not see the light of day again. Can't wait for the SDS-Max to finally become available.
