  1. Really could have used something like that recently, laying a 600' run of 3" by myself. There's all kinds of stuff available on their site that you never see in the store. Like, I was Googling for a plastic kayak recently, and found that there's dozens of them for sale on HD online. Same thing with mattresses.
  2. Part of my order of Fein Slugger cutters on clearance from HD arrived, for the new Milwaukee mag drill that's headed my way shortly.
  3. Typically, a good percentage of the announced tools are out by late fall, with a few not slated until early in the following calendar year. Occasionally, delays happen.
  4. This coming Wednesday, the 8th.
  5. It's probably going to weigh a little more than the current M18 Hole Hawg, but I use mine all day long with no thought to its weight whatsover. One-handed, no problem, so it can't be all that bad. Just looking, HD specs shows the one I have weighs 7.4 lbs.
  6. For a pro, like myself - yes, no question. I couldn't force myself to buy brushed, at this point.
  7. You don't have to look beyond the tool's name to see that demolition is not what the Hackzall is designed for.
  8. As a pro, Milwaukee is the clear choice, what with the amount of tools in that line that they have available, especially brushless. I love the Bosch corded tools that I own, and am sorry to see Bosch so far behind on cordless. And I'm not a Milwaukee fanboy - they just had the most extensive and best-fitting line for my trade at the time I was needing an upgrade. If I were a carpenter looking to upgrade my 18v stuff, it'd be more likely Makita, or maybe DeWalt.
  9. Boy, I hope so. I just can't bring myself to buy brushed at this point.
  10. Brushless OMT would make me happy, as would an M12 Fuel band saw.
  11. At this point, it's brushless or nothing, for me. Jig saw is not a primary tool for me, but I'd love to see a Milwaukee one.
  12. I added heavily to my Milwaukee stuff this year and am quite happy with all of my purchases, but my favorite aquisition would have to be the M18 Fuel Hole Hawg, being an electrician.
  13. Had an exchange student in high school from Denmark. Name was Morten. He was a good bit quirky, but always had the biggest smile on. He also did really love to drink, for being 17. A great kid.
  14. All I'll buy is blade left. Been using the same Saw Boss since I can't remember when. Bought it because it did all I needed a circular saw to do in my field, was smaller to keep in the truck and a bit easier to wield for me up in attics, taking up floor boards. After that, it seemed crazy to me to look over the saw while cutting. Like anything, I suppose it's what you're used to.
  15. Probably? There's folks all over the interwebs bragging about how they placed 50+ one-item orders, then proceeded to return the items that they got for only a dollar or two for full-price store credit. Don't think we'll see another one of those anytime soon.
  16. I couldn't get more than 30 seconds into it. The Assburgers is strong in that one!
  17. Looks like something I'd pass on, but who knows, maybe it'll end up surprising.
  18. That screwdriver is pretty dang anemic. I have 2 that I've gotten in such kits, and they just sit.
  19. Works great for picking up after myself on the job. That's all I bought it for, and am happy with it. Roughed a timber frame barn the other day, picked all my shavings up with it in the areas where sweeping was difficult. Used 2 batteries, but I've got plenty. Sure beats dragging a cord out.
  20. For the non-electrician perhaps, but everything I run in this is 7/16" shank, so with everyday use the quick chuck is a real blessing.
  21. I used Klein's professionally for years, but decided to try something different after being disappointed with the last set I purchased. Grabbed a Milwaukee set, as I wanted to try the ECX driver, and they've held up to everyday use quite well. At this point, I see no reason to switch back, regardless. While I still have many Klein tools in my bag, they don't hold quite the esteem they once did, sadly.
  22. Saw the clearance sticker the other day at my nearest HD - $44 or so, from $179.
  23. Chicken fried steak
