  1. That is a crazy video. I think he deserves the rest of the day off. It's amazing how fast structures get burn down. Given that the inside looked empty, air flow was probably helping spread the fire more quickly.

Haha, at least an extra long lunch break!!

It sure did go fast.. I'm assuming it had no drywall installed which would have helped slow things down a bit

  2. hahaha   this dude is for sure Drunk or high or probably both!

good drinking game would be to take a shot every time he says its the best!  you would be slammed in like 3 minutes

pretty sad if thats the best thing he has ever bought in his life

also i like how Makita clearly says it has 10 minute run time, by the end of the video he is saying how it runs for like 30 minutes

DAN AND ERIC, Pay attention.. you could really learn a thing or two about making a quality review video from this guy!!  maybe he offers coaching.   time to step up your game guys  LOL

  3. The only thing is warranty support and parts if things go wrong. That's the risk you take with grey market tools though.

I hear ya on this one!  thats a major downside..      Im not sure if i will even do it, sometimes the temptation is there!  Makita has so many cool new Brushless tools over in Europe now like that badass new impact, jigsaw and circular saw.  i get impatient waiting for them to make it over here.   also there is talk of a new reciprocating saw on the horizon.. that might be what pushes me over the edge if they don't release it in the US quickly

  4. Chris, you make a good case!  ok, bottle opener makes the cut!!

Conductor and Dwain, Im thinking with cordless stuff the only thing that wouldn't be comparable is the charger.. 18v is 18v, thats my understanding anyway.. buying the bare tools would take care of this      am i right in thinking that i could just use my current makita 18v charger and batteries and not have to deal with anything else?

  5. What's up man, seemed silly to say welcome when we've already been chatting so I thought I'd say hey instead! To be honest, with your insane post count and senior member status I would have never guessed you were a new member! that post count, damn!! Way to go, you really are a madman!

It's nice to put some stats to the screen name, I'm 28 myself.. u married or kids?

  6. Claudio, sorry I'm a little late to the welcome party.. glad to have you here!!

Italy is such an amazing country! I was there about 1 year ago, stayed in Positano and Amalfi first, this had to be my favorite place i have ever been in the world! Then we spent a day seeing pompei, Vesuvius and Herculaneum.. after that we finished up the trip in Rome which was just an amazing place to be!! Such a great place with so much to see and so much history!

  7. I saw this over on Pro Tool Reviews, thought it was a great review that a lot of people here might be interested in.

its a shame they couldn't get their hands on some 4ah Makita batteries or even the 5ah that are due out next month.. it could have really changed the outcome of the run time tests
