  1. does HD accept the 10% coupon from acme tools?
  2. i gonna check what size the main line is.... also what size going in and out of the wh now. viega PEX is pretty cool, i like that too.... i used that back in germany HomeDepot just has sharkbite pex - its similar, just push in and done. no press needed, but i assume the fittings are a bit more expensive. and i dont have that crimping tool for viega pex tubes
  3. that price is not too bad, even with the 11p kit for 5 bucks more
  4. how much is the kit / and the hose itself? looking forward to hear more about it and i definitely look into those vids. my own air compressor and equipment is already on my list
  5. honestly - i give a shit about whats going on in their lives; when you work with customers then you have to be friendly...if you cant, then this is the wrong job for you....go to mc donald and and cook burgers in the back when you cant be friendly. (thats my opinion!)
  6. welcome dave to the forum - enjoy the best community
  7. wow ya thats a funny story. those employees you actually find in every store. but even that " i hate you people" guy can check the inventory with his little device...hes was just to fuc*ing lazy. if it was me there, and he would talk to me like that....i would go straight to the store manager. i hate that attitude specially when you work in such a store where you normally should help the customer to find the right tool. but at least you got the right tool with no missing parts. that never happened to me before; because i check the inside always before i buy it lol wow you waited 4 month and kept thinking about it? wow i cant resist so long enjoy your new toy bro
  8. oh and i think im going to buy the bosch SG182BN (bare tool) because i have a extra 4ah battery for that badboy. to finish the rest of the drywall, mainly garage and further projects are coming up.
  9. welcome come bro to the forum. thats a really cool sweeper check out this area - and tell us something about ya http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/power-tool-forum/index.php?/forum/45-introduce-yourself/
  10. man i drywalled today one side of the dining room and i used the makita corded drywall ( FS4200 ). bought it from the local HD, didnt want to wait until i order the right one online...it will get the job done too. then i can still bring it back that tool is pretty loud when its on auto on. had to wear ear protection. maybe its just me but i like to protect my ears while working haha even when i framed i wore ear protection.... and that cord....ugh so annoying, thats my first time using a drywall gun and im already ready to buy a cordless version.
  11. the water pressure is pretty high. i prolly go with 3/4" blue pex (cold) from water main to garage, because the 1" white pex is kinda on the expensive side. 1"x100' is 70 bucks.... and 3/4x100' $50; 1/2x100' $30 also i think 3/4" should be enough to feed the water header and the rest in the garage but yeah, exactly what typed NER. whats a good idea too....the cold water in the garage coming from main water, will get a shut off valve and the warm water which goes from the new WH in the house ( or just directly after the WH )will get a shut off valve as well.
  12. wall #2 is not a load bearing wall
  13. alright here we go. so i want to move my laundry room into the garage as well as the water heater which is outside atm. the old laundry room will be turned into a pantry as soon as i start to remodel the kitchen. so i have to run a Cold Line into the garage from the main water valve. which size does that has to be? i gonna use pex pipe because its cheaper and easier to use. i saw 1/2"; 3/4" in red and blue and 1" in white. because i have to feed the water heater and the wash machine + maybe a sink in the garage. i was thinking about the 1" white going towards the garage. to feed the water heater, wash machine and sink. or should i use 3/4" blue pex ?!?! on the drawning you can see that i will run the pipes thru the opened wall in the dining room (#1 in the drawing), because on both sides i dont have a attic. #2 is the wall i reframed because of the termite damage. so and then when the water heater has the cold water supply, i thought about using 3/4" red pex going back in the house to feed the rest. so what you guys think? did i choose the right sizes to feed everything? i also have to install new sewage pipes in the garage. but thats a another game here my quick drawing :D thats the wall i run the pipes thru, left side is the garage, right side is the kitchen(kitchen attic) i already bought the metal plates for the studs to protect the existing wires + the new pex pipes from drywall screws
  14. they will go online shortly, but first i need to make a little drawing to make my question a bit easier
  15. thanks bro - got some more stuff done today...will post pictures after dinner. plus have a few questions to our pros or maybe our DIY'er if they might know the answer.
  16. yeah thats true - loading up the magazine is quick, so i dont mind using a full head nailer and its borrowed so....
  17. i have to say, first i was not so impressed when i looked at the pancake compressor at HD. but after using it i kinda like it. i think its for Pro and DIY'er. my friend builds custom homes and he uses this one all the time.
  18. i just checked for the model - its the FR350, (Round Head Framing Nailer) yours is prolly the clipped head model.
  19. i agree with that, spend some more money and its definitely worth it. go big or go home always go with that when i buy my tools ehm bosch tools the GCL25 and the GLL2-20 are both really nice. GLL3-80 has a few more features but double price of the GLL2-20
  20. haha thanks comp today i tackle the rest + drywall and install the new door. will build a custom threshold for that door. kinda dont like the aluminum. oh and that project gives me the opportunity to install my washer and dryer + water heater in the garage. the one open wall where all the wires going thru, ill add some pex pipes that i can put all the appliances in the garage and not like right now in a small 4x3 room where you can barely walk into with your dirty clothes basket. that room will be turned into a pantry.
  21. ill ask them when i see one more somewhere gonna be his last answer haha. thanks mike
  22. thanks John. first at all i just thought drywalling the garage, then ah shit we have to termites, then a shit severe termite damage, then ah come lets put a new bigger door in lol. actually i thought i would be done by now with the garage lol. i opened more drywall in that room too, just to check if they damaged something there too. but lucky to me....nothing really to be afraid of. ya the picture shows some termite signs, but actually they just had fun eating the paper from the drywalls. studs are ok. here the pic where i opened the other side from the dining room, just to check if those fu**ers did something there too. studs are ok
  23. im loving it. so quick and easy to set up and folding it back up. time and space saver for sure. just takes 40inches when its folded up and set against the wall. in the next weeks i gonna build some nice tables i can put on top of the metal tube from the extension wings. something similar you see on picture #5
  24. thats my first ever framing work i've done in my life no clue which PC framing nailer that is - i borrowed that and the compressor from a friend but he had that one for a long time too. i can check it tmw when im back in the garage
