  2. Hopefully the 2015 catalogue will have some insight. I was just notified its the mail, so I'll see soon enough.
  3. Looks like DeWalt is hosting a booth after all.

  5. Nice! I just picked up three 3 packs of DeWalt blades. $25 each. I'm Gordon 12" blades for a while.
  6. I heard that I have a 6 pack charger in the works.
  7. I picked up a cart full of blades from Lowes when they did planogram change. Bosch, Dremel & Rockwell. Bigger tasks, I'll use the Bosch & Dremel as I won't need to change ladies frequently. When I'm doing more fine finish work or tasks that require frequent changes, I'll stick with DeWalt or Rockwell.

  9. Haha. I was thinking more for trailer or van mounting.
  10. I can't take the credit. I found the video. I just modified his idea to secure the tape better.
  11. That's neat. I'm too rough on my iPad so that wouldn't be ideal
  12. A quick snip with a razor blade, and I rotated the security clip 180 degrees for a more secure seating of the tape
  13. Seriously? I can't even imagine how he did that?
  14. I like the sticker idea! I may have to steal that idea too!
  15. DAMN IT!!!! I want the backpack. But I'll wait until I get my Klein bag. I need a backpack for hand tools and diagnostic type tools to keep in the cab of the truck. It'd be great for restoration and storm damage assessments.
  16. The big positive I noticed was they don't seem to consume as much air and offer more power and speed though.
  17. I use mine about once a month. I really like them. I have the impact, ratchet, die grinder & cut off. In all honesty, they aren't leaps & bounds over my Kobalt set. They have a little more torque and barely noticeable speed, but for a homeowner who has the right compressor, Kobalt would be my recommendation.
  18. Wow! That's a lot of work. Lol. Did you cringe when you started cutting into that track? I know I would have. I also would have measured and remeasured a dozen times.
  19. All on sale at Lowes. $10-$30 off.
  20. My phone really rings too much for a Bluetooth radio.
  21. Kobalt is great if your Lowes really honors the "Hassle Free Warranty." Some like to give you a hard time.
  22. That's awesome! I dropped my impact off a roof once. Two story, 9/12 pitch. I was straddling the ridge and it came off my belt. Skipped down the roof, launched off the eave, it a tree and fell on the sidewalk and it was all good. There's a scuff on it. Nothing else.
  23. 116 Reviews, 4.5 stars. It appears to me a great little saw. Kobalt makes some good stuff. I had their 10" and really liked it. I just had to upgrade to 12" and went with DeWalt
  24. you can't go wrong with DeWalt or Milwaukee. Bosch, I'm not sure of in their SDS capabilities. I am a huge fan of DeWalt, I haven't been let down. Their SDS is the best SDS I've ever used. They have a 1/2" drive impact that will snap lugs off cars if you're not careful. Someone recently posted a photo of a brushless SDS so if it's not available, it will be soon. The current SDS will blow through some batteries though. I've used as many as 12 in a day. Drilling 3/4" - 1" holes in fully cured 5,000PSI concrete. If you can research the brushless and can afford to wait, I'd go brushless. DeWalt also has a fantastic dust collection line called "perform and protect." If you have a need for dust collection, due to working indoors or just want to save your lungs, go with DeWalt.
