  1. Dang it. I was thinking of using one and cutting it down for the slot to make parallel guides. I would braze a thin aluminum to it to make a T Slot attachment.
  2. I have the collated attachment. The problem is the 6" driver tips. I bought the tool because I read somewhere that it'll do square drive as well as Phillips collated screws. The DCF6201 arrived yesterday with two 6" #2 Phillips bits. They are smooth shaft from the hex to the driver tip. Making other manufactures not compatible. It's a pretty small diameter making it appear that only DeWalt drivers designed for the attachment can be used. Basically, I need a DeWalt driver similar to the Kreg driver. Small diameter shaft.
  3. Can anyone tell me what material they are made of? Hopefully they are aluminum.
  4. I'm hoping someone can direct me on where to purchase new 6" driver tips? The collated attachment has proprietary shape so any 6" driver won't work. I'm really in need of a Square Drive or I am sending this thing back.
  5. I have two 102" tracks and a 59" track. The 59" is just too long to comfortably cut 21-24" stock or even smaller for cabinets. I'm also considering building the Ron Paulk Cross Cut jig and a 59" track is simply too much track. Ultimately id have a ~32", 59", 70" and a 102" track.
  6. I could not get it to work on the DW618. On either base. Especially the plunge base.
  7. If you plan on purchasing the adapter for the router to use the guide rail (DWS5021) I suggest only using it with the DW625 as the adapter doesn't allow other routers to extend past the guide rail causing alignment issues when making dados. The DW625 fits perfectly with the guide rail, flat on your stock making perfect dados.
  8. I picked up an extra 102" guide rail for the track saw and am strongly considering cutting it down to around 32" & 70" to offer more variety in my guides. I don't have them handy and just wanted to ask if that would be a good dimension to allow for more common cuts. Will a 32" rail allow me to cut at least 24" while keeping the adjustable guides on the saw in contact with the guide rail on both the start and finish of the cut? Or should I go up to a 36" guide rail and a 66". Thanks in advance.
  9. Update: At the end of April I was told my last item would ship May 15. So i didn't get a shipping notification Friday and I emailed inquiring about my order this morning. Magically, I got shipment notification about 1:00pm and a reply to my inquiry about 10 minutes later. No rush on the shipping. Just plain ole snail mail with tracking. Makes me wonder if my inquiry casually reminded them of my back ordered item.
  10. Ability to cut up to 24" long tiles Plunge Fearlture Ease of transport Stability Table glides smoothly Water tray separates silt and water well. Bevel option on the motor. Precision sprayer on blade Auxiliary sprayer for rinsing tile.
  11. It's an amazing saw! I love mine!
  12. I was kind of bummed. They didn't really have it together. I stopped by two events. Pretty lame if you ask me. Seems like more of a big promotional event to sell tools than anything. Nothing new. They tried to hype up some tools that have been out for a year. The Bluethooth LDM that I've had for nearly a year was "new".
  13. There's a yellow strip around the clear lid that's visible on the open box picture. I believe that's a gasket.
  14. Or phenolic. You can buy sheets and cut your own.
  15. I just can't justify the cost. I buy the Kobalt kit with a lifetime warranty. One time purchase, saws for life.
  16. I heard some things about a 20V roofing gun and a 20V siding gun last year sometime. They're also supposed to be coming out with a joist hanger gun that shoots pins into Simpson ties and joist hangers.
  17. I did. 20V Drywall gun kit + collated attachment & Radar Scanner
  18. I actually got a lot more runtime yesterday. I dropped the power to the "low" setting and nearly trimmed and edged my whole yard and had some battery left for the blower. That's over 80' of sidewalk (both sides), 120' or curb, about 65 feet of flower beds and a 40' long driveway. It was a deep edging too as I haven't mowed in almost three weeks so it was over due for a deep hard cut edging. And the runner roots in St Augistine grass are ridiculously tough so it took a beating for sure.
  19. I'm in love!!! Fairly inexpensive considering.
  20. They're both Stanley Black & Decker companies. They look identical to me.
  21. I estimate I'm getting nearly 30 minutes. Maybe more.
  22. You can get a $50 off $250 coupon online for $1.50 from eBay. That'll make it $375.
  23. Wait.... The model number is in the compressor tank from"DeWalt" ??? I'm lost.... Either way, it's a GREAT price. I'd ask an associate at Lowes to give you their details on them. Ask if they are stock items. Negotiate the price down further.
