  1. That was posted on 2013?On edit: sorry. That was his join date.
  2. Yellow ones are slowly popping up at Home Depots in Houston. Saw one at two stores this week.
  3. Hopefully, the answer is to wait. I saw a prototype last August that was supposedly getting close to release.
  4. I just looked online at local inventory and all HD's in my area have 1 - 2 and it says "pickup at prodesk" in the store map. Strange. Must be anticipated as a highly stolen item.
  5. I would man, but I've been eye balling this thing for quite some time. I lost out on a discounted open item last week because my "go to" manager was off. They sold it before I had a chance to get back into the store.
  6. I just won one of these yesterday at a DeWalt promo at my local Lowes. Was so anxious to get it open, like a kid leaving a toy store, I sliced my finger on that damn plastic packaging. It's a pretty neat little speaker. Good for indoor or shop type work. Portable, compact and syncs very quickly.
  7. We have one of those at the shop. I just built a router table into the extension. Makes for a nice space saving setup.
  8. I have two DWV012 and I'm really impressed. Especially with all the attachments available and the positive locking mechanism on the hoses.
  9. Really looks like they thought this through. They did their research for sure.
  10. I drew up the "T-Slot" on the track on CAD. Took measurements using a caliper. I'm going to start seeing what parts I can find.
  11. I decided to cut down a 102" track to 36" & 66". So I have a 102", 66", 59" and a 36". DeWalt also makes a 46" track that is pretty inexpensive so I may order that just to offer a variety of lengths.
  12. Just filled out a form at the event. They called me and said I was the winner.
  13. Wasn't aware of it. But thanks for the heads up. I checked DeWalt's events calendar and saw they were doing a promo today at my local lowes. I won a Bluetooth speaker.
  14. I'll run some tests with loose screws first to see how well it does. The Ridgid collated gun runs both drywall and deck screws. I'll compare technical specs as well. I'm primarily screwing 5/8" cedar pickets into PT Pine. I can't imagine it would be a problem.
  15. That may. I'm trying to work out the details. I've been re-familiarizing myself with AutoCad and drawing out all my work before hand. Makes life soooo much easier.
  16. Great explanation. Thank you Bottom line is that it has created American Jobs. So that's a plus in my book.
  17. I think I'll just bore out the sleeve/guide on the inside to accept a Ridgid square drive tip.
  18. We have been using Polymer coated deck screws in a collated strip for years. All square drive. No issues that I can recall. We can run about 2500 screws on one tip the grind off about 1/32" that's worn and get another 2,000-2500 screws.
  19. What exactly does "Built in the USA" mean? Are they just using a play on "Assembled in the USA?" I'm a DeWalt fan through and through, but creative marketing can be deceptive.
  20. Primeguard Plus P158 1-5/8" deck screws for fencing. I have about 30 boxes of screws that we use for fence pickets. I have been using the Ridgid Collated 110V screw gun which has. 6" driver but the diameter is too large for the DeWalt collated gun. The #2 Phillips bits that came with the DCF6201 are stamped DeWalt so they were obviously made for DeWalt and I find it hard to believe DeWalt didn't or isn't planning on making an assortment of drivers for this gun.
  21. Yes. Square drive collated screws. I called DeWalt customer service and they referred me to Quik Drive (Simpson) as they supposedly made the collated attachment for DeWalt. No luck on either end. Quik Drive said the screws manufacturers make their own bits for their own screws. What a mess!
  22. Here is a pic of the driver. http://hybrisimages.toolcommerce.com//prod/500X500/DCF6201_2_500X500.jpg I need a square drive bit like that.
