  1. It's showing $399 at first but then after I select my local store is drops to $279.30. Maybe it's just a regional thing?
  2. Grass is never "greener," it's just a different color green.
  3. I have that! It's a beast!
  4. They're in Houston frequently. They usually spend a week or so jumping between various Lowe's and HD's. I usually hit up 2-3 since the give out promo items and discounts on tools.
  5. I've used them. Haven't used them in masonry though. I use them in drywall on quick tasks. No anchor needed and self drilling.
  6. On sale at Lowes. Retail $399, on sale for $279.
  7. I've been using the Ridgid Collated gun to build fences for about two years. Offers superior quality at competitive price because of speed. I just ordered this to replace my Ridgid gun and ditch the cord. So you don't have to hang rock to need this gun.
  8. DeWalt offers a 90 day guarantee on all their tools regardless of where you buy them from.
  9. Pretty impressed. I just ran the weed eater for a bit between the rain. It's pretty good. Trimmed up my whole yard and blew the rear patio on the same battery. Still have some battery left. I have about a 6,000 sq ft lot.
  10. UPDATE: The blower is great! I've been using it to clean my job sites and roofs. Great balance. Battery's charge in 40 minutes or so. I blew my garage out and driveway off a few times yesterday while doing some wood working and the battery lasted throughout the day. Powerful enough to blow 1x6 wood scraps up to 8-10" long with ease. The trigger has a lock to lock on to reduce fatigue. It's a variable speed trigger that isn't too sensitive and easy to control. It also locks off to prevent accidental power on. The Chargers have a wall mount which is great. The batteries sit in the charger under their own weight and don't require the lock to be released which makes for easy one one handed changes from the charger. Especially if the charger is mounted in a not so convenient location. Overall I'm pleased with the blower. I'm going to try the trimmer edger this afternoon if it dries up a little around here.
  11. I'd take one if it was a King Ranch or a Saleen version.
  12. I just had a conversation with a Zone Manager at Lowes the other day. He specifically said he is doing WELL if he clears 10% on Lumber. There also a 50%+ markup on boxed fasteners. Power tools averages about 12-15%
  13. Hardware is probably the highest margin. So large, they don't even inventory their single nuts & bolts. It's not worth the man power.
  14. You COULD use it all day, but the time between nails is somewhat delayed and you're not going to be happy trying to frame a while house. Smaller remodeling jobs, where setting up a compressor is too much effort for the amount of work you're doing. I had one for a week, framed up a patio cover. It started giving an overheat code after 3-4 nails. Took it back and just haven't bought another yet.
  15. Lumber is actually the lowest markup. I've seen the numbers. They're happy if they can make 10% on lumber. Tools are usually 25-20%. Plumbing, electrical and hardware have the highest markups. 50-100% or more.
  16. Yup! So many people are "instant gratification" types. Or you need it ASAP for whatever other reason.
  17. I saw that email earlier. The bare tool with attachment is pretty good.
  18. Thanks. I spoke with a Lowe's employee and they went non stock in most stores. Gonna see if I can get a display bare tool at a deep discount.
  19. Lowes in Houston is no longer carrying them?
  20. Initial impression.... I'm impressed. The Chargers include a wall mount bracket. The ergonomics are nice and they're well balanced. I didn't Fire them up yet, didn't getbyhe batteries on the charger until about 30 minutes ago.
  21. Just left lowes with the trimmer and blower. Gonna charge them up and report back.
  22. 10 miles north to 2920. Downtown Tomball.
  23. This was in Tomball. Which is a "Farm Store" from what I've been told. They carry more specialty things like big mowers, trailers, sheds, etc. I checked inventory and seems like most North Houston stores have a few in stock.
  24. They all come with battery & charger. 4.0ah
  25. Blower & weed eater. No need for the trimmer.
