I use a tool belt at work all day. I'm always trying and looking for ways in which I can lighten my load. I'm sure the strippers work ok. However I already carry my lineman and wire strippers. So for those reasons I choose not to use the heavy duty strippers. I would image you might use them at a workshop for production type work. To each his own. Cheers. I prefer the comfort and hardened tip of my Klein screw drivers. I also own a set of Wera screw drivers which are very comfortable and durable. A while back I was having a discussion with my father who is retired and my brother in law who is a mechanic. My father was sayin "why don't you just buy craftman tools they're more affordable". My brother in law replied "yes they are but they are not designed for tradesman who uses those tools daily. High end tools are more comfortable and heavier duty". 2 years later and I completed understand what my brother in law was talking about. Basically those acetate screw drivers are fine for a weekend project. I would not reach for one of the screw drivers if I had to use it for a long period of time at work. I stopped by today to check them out. The handle on the Ridgid seems sturdier to me. Otherwise everything seems identical. I took some measurements. I have a back flip cover on my pickup truck bed so the vertical clearance would not fit either Dewalt or Ridgid so I need to back to the drawing board. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wassup folks. I'm conflicted between the Dewalt Tough Boxes and Ridgid Boxes. I own the Large and small Dewalt Boxes. They are top notch. My only complaint is carrying them around. I don't want to buy the expensive dolly for them. I often have to traverse job sites with debris and large cables around so a furniture dolly would be to inconvenient to maneuver around. I like the Ridgid box with built in wheels. I noticed Dewalt just came out with a large Box with built in wheels as well. DS450. You can stack it up with the other tough Boxes. I bought a Husky brand truck box less than 2 months ago. When I tried to lock it today it wouldn't lock. I noticed the lock mechanism is out of position so the lock is not able to engage at all. This is a problem because I tried to drive without the lock and the box opened by itself. At $250 it's not the most expensive but it's not cheap either. Looking for some advice. Should I return it? or do a diy hasp and lock? I'm sure I can return it to the orange box store but I'm not sure that I would have any better luck with another truck box in that price range. Thanks for the input. Most of the stuff at the box stores doesn't seem to hold up well. I'm going to try the Weha ClicFix Magnetic Insert Bit Holder. Bought it from KC. The reviews said it doesn't hold up to impact drivers but I just do light duty screw driving. I'm currently using 2" bit with no adapter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I used a magnetic bit holder that came with a kit I purchased a while ago. The problem I keep encountering is the the bits stay stuck to the screw fastner. I'm using the Dewalt max fit bits. I believe the bit holder is a cheap china made holder. Is the magnet too weak? I have seen some bit holders that have a lock designed to precent this issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Wassup TIA crew! My old '96 Rav4 was on it's last legs and after joining the trades I decided to purchase a new pickup truck. I bought 4 cylinder Nissan Frontier 2016 model, King Cab. It's the right fit for me financially and for my needs. The girlfriend is upset because because it's not a family vehicle, so I'm waiting for the storm to clear. Just wanted to share the news with you guys. It's my first "new" vehicle purchase. Now, I'm looking around for a truck toolbox. I decided I don't want to get the Rigid box because I don't want to drill into the bed plus the size is small for the price. I'm looking for something between $200-$400. Weather guard is out of my price range and needs. I was looking on youtube at the Husky toolbox. It looked pretty easy to install. No drilling required. Any input from you guys would be much appreciated. I just plan to put my tool belt and bags in there... for now Thanks crew.

Hi guys. I'm usually really dirty after my 8 hour shift. From drywall dust and other jobsite dirt/grime. I was wondering how you guy protect your car/trucks interior especially the seats. I'm planning on getting a new pickup truck and I want to take better care of it than my current car. Thanks guy.

I have one of these myself. The blades are a bit pricey though. Does anyone know if there are other brands of blades that you can use on these? I saw some a HF but I wasn't sure if they would work. Sorry, if this has been asked before. I mainly use mine cut openings in drywall.

I've been looking into getting a truck box. I may consider a crossbox style or a simple box style. I mostly want it to put my personal tool bag and tool belt. I'm leaning towards something like the Ridgid 2032 box. It's 32" wide. It seems like the right size for me and the price is within my budget. My question is this,how would I mount this box onto my truck bed? Would I need to anchor it down to the bed of the truck? Any input would be appreciated.

I bought mine from Amazon for $27. The magnets are very strong. I had the $10 empire torpedo level but the magnet on it was very weak and the ends were plastic. I was curious about the stabila levels but a little pricey for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was looking for a tool bag with a large storage compartment in the center to store all the power tools I need. This bag is marketed as a bag to carry your cordless tools so it caught my eye at Lowe's. It even has 2 battery pockets to fit your batteries on the outside. It looks pretty durable. The main zipper in the center seems sturdy. It sales for $50 at Lowe's. Here's what I was able to fit in the main compartment: - DeWalt 20V Hammer Drill - DeWalt 20V Impact Driver - DeWalt 20V Reciprocating Saw - DeWalt 20V Multi-Tool - Dewalt 20V Worklight - 10" file - Parts bag with some hole saws and unibits I was able to zip it closed. The bag still has plenty of compartments on the outside. I put my drill index and bit set on the outside. There's also a zippered compartment on each side. I put some wrenches on one side and my multimeter on the other side. I have work cart that set this bag on. The only experience I have with the backpack style is the Veto Tech Pac. I used it for about 2 weeks. It's durable very well made. Plenty of storage and organization for hand tools. It can get to be pretty heavy. I would mostly carry it from the handle at the top. Most of the hand tools I need I carry on my tool belt. I just mainly need a bag for my power tools, batteries, etc. That was my experience. Most companies have a version of the backpack style tool bag now. I was looking into the Veto Open Tote bags but I figured I wanted some protection from the rain. I picked up the Channellock 426 6-1/2" Tounge and Groove Pliers. These pliers are small yet big enough to work. Useful everywhere. Fits nicely on my back pocket or tool belt without adding too much weight. I have a set of the larger pliers however this set is lighter and can take care of most tasks.

I've heard many positive reviews of the c.h. hanson magnetic stud finder. I can't find it locally at my hardware store. I've been using The StudBuddy. It's a simple magnetic stud finder. I had lackluster results in the past with digital stud finders.

Hi Guys. I was just at my local HD today. I was shopping for reciprocating saw (bare tool) from DeWalt. I notice a sign that said if you purchase the DeWalt XR 5ah 20v Max battery you can choose a Free tool. One of those tools was a reciprocating saw. I paid $199 plus tax. The reciprocating saw that I wanted is the DCS380B which retails for $119. The sign said on at "participating Home Depot stores". So, the deal may not be at every HD. I couldn't find it online.
