  1. Great deal MM! Thanks for posting. I was looking into a combo of M12 Hammer/Drill and Impact for $269 at HD. The combo came with 2 batteries though. I will consider this deal... really tempting offer.
  2. I use the 10" Pliers Wrench & Cobras. They are great for a wide range of jobs. I haven't needed the 12" versions, yet. I did buy the 7" Cobra pliers, and I love their size . I find myself using the 7" Cobras more often. They are small and light enough to fit in my pocket. It all depends on your trade I guess. I may buy the 12" down the road, IF I need them. Either way, they are great tools. Cheers.
  3. I'm not too sure about the set you are talking about. I pressume the coating would wear off over time. It would still distinguish itself as your set to prevent confusion on the jobsite. I recently picked up the Tekton sae and metric set reviewed by Conductor. It's also made of chrome vanadium. Here's the link to the review. Cost is about $16 if remember correctly. http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/2014/05/tekton-a-look-at-some-new-products/
  4. Awesome toolbox. Love those Milwaukee M12 drills.
  5. Thanks Conductor, I'll look into these. The 180-degree flex seems really useful.
  6. I'm on the market for another combination wrench set for another tool bag I have. I already own a Craftsman 12pt set. I want a ratcheting set with an offset for knuckle clearance. SAE. Here's a set I found online. Craftman Standard Racheting Combination Wrench Set Can you guys give me a few recommendations?
  7. I believe it's the Wiha 32092 Slotted And Phillips Insulated Screwdriver Set, 1000 Volt, 6 Piece. I could be wrong, I'll double check later when I get home. Amazon has them on sale for about $34. They only have one layer of insulation. I have seen others (Milwaukee) have a yellow layer and a red layer. So you can visually see if it's time to decomission that screw driver.
  8. I got mine on sale at Sears. They were $34.99. I paid about $20, because I had some rewards points I was able to use towards my purchase. The set comes with 3 slotted and 3 phillips screw drivers. The handle on them says made in Germany.
  9. I finally bought the Wiha insulated screwdrivers. It's a 6 piece set. It has great reviews and for the price they are a great value.
  10. I have heard Sears offers a Tech Student Discount Program here.
  11. Power tools with RFID technology on them.

  12. Hey what's up TiA! My name is Wiz, and I'm an addict. Tools! I got here through the YouTube channel and it seems like a cool forum, so I thought I would introduce myself. A little about me. I've been in the sign manufacturing industry for over 10 years. I work as an AutoCAD draftsman for small family owned machine shop. I make cut sheets and prototypes of new products. I started collecting tools earlier this year because I was tired of having to borrow tools when making prototypes. On occasions, I have to perform field installation/surveys. I recently went back to school to become a certified electrician. I like working with my hands and I want a better future for my family. My interest in tools right now are for my electricians tool bag.
  13. I like the tried and true Klein screw drivers. The round handle helps speed things up for me. I typically use my Klein 14-in-1 for most tasks. I have mainly multi screwdrivers or specialty screwdrivers. I want to invest in a set of dedicated screwdrivers. I have my eye on the Wera Kraftform Plus. I may just try them out. They look comfortable and ergonomic. I have heard many positive reviews.
  14. That is an awesome little work light, Mike! I would buy a few, if could find them at Sears.
  15. Thanks for the great idea. Very useful. I lose mine all the time. I have started buying Milwaukee inkzall for better visibility, but even then I forget them.
  16. Klein Tools Ultimate Electrician's Bag - $59.88 was $93.01 I ran across this bag on sale. I've seen it reviewed in the past. It looks very well constructed. You can save on shipping by having it ship to the store near you. I've actually been saving up for Veto Tech XL. This is a tempting offer, though. Does anybody have a preference either way? *EDIT: Free shipping anyways.
  17. Damn that sucks to hear about the spring assembly. I've had mine for 2 weeks. I've only used a few times. I have seen a craftman model similar to the EZ.
  18. I use one of these. I got it at Harbor Freight for $3. It's plenty bright and works for me. I'm sure there are better/brighter LED work light out there too. LED Work Light with rare earth magnets. Could be brighter. My brother-in-law gifted me an EZ Red LED Portable Work Light. These are supper bright for their size. 36 lumens. No magnet though.
  19. Cool. I'm sure you'll enjoy using it. You got a great deal on it.
  20. Yes. I had to clean out the inside with a mix of baking soda and vinegar. Good as new. No I just buy Duracell batteries. Live and learn.
  21. I have owned the Bosch 130' laser level for over a year. I bought for about $90. It's worth the price and it is incredibly accurate. I did have to replace my batteries a few months back because they exploded inside and were leaking acid. Do yourself a favor and use Duracell instead of the prepackaged batteries.
  22. I'm glad I read your input on these knipex install pliers. I was on the fence about buying them. It seems like yould still need to use all your other pliers anyway so there is no added value in buying them.
  23. Nice set. How do you like the Milwaukee insulated screw drivers?
