We also had to sent back all our gws 18 v like grinders with the 6.3 eneracer batteries. Bosch will remove the brake from these grinders.

Not poor quality. But seeing as Festool doesn't have any ' powerfull ' battery tools they might have gone for cheaper cells that can't provide high amps . Which would be good enough for their tools of course
-
Festool batteries are cheap indeed. Anyone feels like opening one up to check what's inside ?

With use of an optional adapter yes

Only the AWS vacuum. I've opened up aws tools too see if the Bluetooth thingy is a ' standalone ' thing that just needs power ( so you could hack it into other tools ) but alas it's all podded in in the brainbox

No idea. Dewalt rep told me -
Are we sure that maximum voltage after charging is an indicator for how much life the cells have left ?
-
Japan doesn't have the 'D' prefix in their tool names. Td170 = dtd170

It's not expensive. The normal rapid charger is cheap because kits are sold as separate items. That gives you a cheap charger to sell. There isn't a kit that gives you the car charger. Only way to sell it as a dealer is to order em from Makita and they are expensive ( just as a fast charger ordered straight from Makita is expensive ) It's so big because it uses thesame mold for the housing as the older normal or fast chargers. Creating new molds for a smaller size charger which is only sold in very small quantities would be cost prohibitive. And a 2 minute Google search for the manual would explain you the icon instead of what you think it is.

Why would it rattle ? The batteries are connected solid to the frame as in any other tool -

And the space for the batteries in the case obviously has alot of room for bigger batteries. Even the battery icon that is molded in the plastic is a bigger sizes. Now we just need the batteries -_-; -

I think that's a good safety feature for a chainsaw. You lack the obvious audible warning of a gas saw that it's ' on '. Everything to help prevent a chainsaw mishap is a good thing in my book
-
In belgium there's a big red or yellow sticker on the box that warns that one Handed Chainsaws should only be used by professionals. Not that anyone gives a damn really

You have lame ass stores then
-
That chainsaw is out in Japan. Check www.makita.co.jp. But I'll be some months before available in other countries I guess Mower no change yet
-
It's indeed a thin cord detachable adapter
-
If a brushless is coming then Makita Japan is pushing remaining stock to countries that didn't sell it yet. That's how it works
-
Nothing more. But still has been repeated to me multiple times by Makita reps/managers that it should be coming 2018.

They have awesome dust collection with the bag yeah !
