  1. Well I'd agree if you were talking about something like the Domino but other companies make dust extractors and track saws so I'll disagree with that notion. You did it the expensive, and likely superior way, but not the only way lol. The end result is great though!

  2. If you want as close to dust free work environment as possible then it's definitely worth it. Systainers are also extremely light and stack and latch much nicer than my ToughSystem stacks do. As I said, guys you see on site do use them but not the guys who work out in the elements. Most framers I've worked with shouldn't be within 100 feet of a systainer, or tstak or LBoxx for that matter lol. Rough and rowdy bunch.

  3. Made in Germany has a high price attached. Someone makes an honest wage to build Festool units instead of the pittance paid for labor building most other colours of tools (I should know, I have plenty of labels to read that all have some version of "made in China" on them).

I've seen remodelers and finishing carpenters/trim guys with systainers. Definitely not for framers lmao.

As far as the Pro5 goes, it's a little squirrelly on my end but nothing too bad at all. I've been taping my M18 vac to it and the dust collection is actually amazing. I can only imagine it will be even better with a proper Dewalt or Festool dust extraxtor.

  4. I hear ya @NicolasRamos, my home workshop is stored in ToughSystem boxes  and everything is compartmentalized with accessories. Makes setup and teardown a breeze. If I was to work out of blow molded cases as a pile of randomly sized Milwaukee boxes and bags I'd tear my hair out. The only Systainers I have are for Pro5s but the same is true of them; tool and accessories, easily stored and easily accessible.

  5. Hahaha especially egregious when you factor in the M18 pumpkin can hang from a joist etc., as usual with Milwaukee there are multiple ways to mount the light. Typical Dewalt approach is "biggest baddest, screw the convenience features". In this case that means most lumens and way to use it beyond plopping it in the middle of a room lol.

In my opinion the Jacobs on the Fuel really is a POS by comparison but if you don't use the Rohms very often the Jacobs is mostly fine.
